章 26: The Doctor Is NOT Death
Going inside the room, Aether, Paimon and Akemi were greeted by the sight of many origami, ranging from paper cranes to paper cats, "Do you think the Dendro Archon likes origami?" Akemi asked sarcastically.
"Sarcasm noted." They heard a voice say from somewhere, prompting them to look for it, "Down here." The voice said, making them look down, and see a radish girl folding a piece of paper.

The three looked at Nahida for a bit, not knowing what to say, "...I know Gods age slower, but I wasn't aware that at five hundred they would still look like children." Akemi brought up
Nahida laughed at that, "I hear that a lot." She reassured before noticing Sibley, "A DAWN BREAKER!?!?" She yelled in surprise at the sight.
The yell made Sibley wake up, "I'm up! I'm up!" She said, rolling out of Aether's arms and onto the floor on her back, "...How did i forget I have legs?" She muttered, cursing herself mentally, at least before turning her head and seeing Nahida.
They looked at eachother for a bit before Sibley blushed, "Lolicon." Akemi said, causing Aether and Paimon to look at Sibley slightly disgusted.
"I'm not a lolicon!" Sibley defended herself, "Then why do you have a folder called cute pitcures of Klee?" Akemi rebutted, shutting Sibley up.
Aether proceeded to lift Sibley up to her feet so that they could move on from that, "Let's get this along before I get the idea to strangle her alright?" He requested.
"Paimon agrees..." The pixie said, "Also Akemi, tell me she doesn't... You know..." She asked the spirit, who just looked to the side, making Paimon look disappointedly at Sibley, "I don't even wanna know how many pictures you've got of me..." She said in a very disappointed tone.
Nahida decided to cough a bit to catch their attention, "Moving on." She said as she put her arm around Sibley's shoulder, "After reading your minds a bit, I discovered that you were talking with Cyno about a certain rejected Harbringer." She brought up, making Aether, Paimon and Akemi immediatly understand.
"Dottore." Aether stated, not really caring about the mind reading part, "Do you know something about him?" He asked, having dedced that's where this was going.
In response, Nahida made a more or less hand motion, "It's better if you come and see." She instructed, and they followed right behind to another place where they found someone's corpse.
Half an Hour of Shocked Silence Later.
"WHAT THE FUCK!?!?" Sibley yelled starting a session of coughing which took a minute to get through, "Is that Dottore!? *Cough* Why is he dead!?" She questioned, remembering how Scaramouche described him as one of the most dangerous Harbringers.
"That's the thing." Nahida started, "It looks like Dottore, another Harbringer that passed by confirmed it, but it certainly does not feel like him!" She explained.
Hearing that made the group confused, "So who is it?" Paimon asked questioningly, "It feels as if he's trying to tie loose ends." She pointed out.
Aether looked at Paimon weirdly, hearing her use this kind of phrases, "Well... I was hoping that Sibley as a Dawn Breaker could scan the body to find out who it is." Nahida explained, hoping that was possible.
"That depends, I'm in Energy Saving mode, which I just earlier discovered existed." She told the Archon, "I don't know if I can scan like this." She excused herself, turning to look at Akemi for information.
The spirit nodded at the questioning look, prompting Sibley to point her staff at the body, scanning it, "It says here that he's not wanted by Snezhnaya" She read, putting emphasis on the not.
Knowing that the ex Harbringer is most definetly wanted by Snezhnaya confirmed one thing, "This is not Dottere." Nahida concluded.
"If this is not Dottore than doesn't that mean he's still going around doing whatever he wants?" He pointed out.
"Most likely searching for Sibley." Paimon said, "Scaramouche did make it sound like this doctor has a bone to pick with her." She reminded.
At that Aether pulled Paimon to the side, leaving Sibley, Akemi and Nahida to talk by themselves, "Okay Paimon, what's up with you today?" He asked his companion.
Paimon looked at Aether weirdly, "What do you mean what's wrong with Paimon?" She asked back, not sure what he meant.
"Why do you sound so... Smart all of a sudden?" He clarified, "Not that I think you're stupid, but I don't think you'd have any expertise in this." He explained.
Hearing this made Paimon make a face like she was caught stealing the Declaration of Independence, "Oh you know... Just got a little taken by a few detective books while Sibley was dealing with the Shogun." She explained.
"Is that where you went?" Aether asked her, remembering that Paimon went somewhere while they waited for Sibley, "Yeah that's right!" Paimon confirmed, happy that Aether fell for it.
When they finished talking, Sibley approached in a hurry, "Guys, huge problem." She said catching their attention, "Upon further scans, I found that the body is of a scholar from Sumeru..." She explained, "Where we are right now." She added, "And it was killed today." She added once more.
"But- That means... Dottore..." Paimon stuttered, "Is still here in Sumeru!?!?" She exclaimed questioningly, her voice sounding panicked.
