章 2: CHAPTER TWO
The driver dropped Ethan were he asked him to drop him and zoomed off as a black shining car stopped in front of him. A man came out.
"Good day sir." He bowed as he opened the door for him as Ethan nodded entering inside.
"Did you do what I asked you to do Liam?" He asked signaling the driver to drive.
"Yes sir. I did a complete background check." He said as Ethan nodded for him to continue.
"Sharon Moore, 22 years old. The first daughter of the Moore family." He said as Ethan looked puzzled.
"I'm aware that Eli had three daughters. Although the media has talked about him having four, no one seems to be bothers about this one." Ethan said as Liam nodded paying attention to his boss.
"I heard she's not a fan showing social media. Her pictures are often seen." Liam said.
She's a good choice then. She surely won't bring problems for me. He thought.
"Her family is rich but she still decides to work in that small bakery." Ethan said still frowning.
"That bakery belongs to her late mother." Liam said.
"Her late mother?" Ethan asked as Liam nodded.
"Yes sir. Elizabeth Moore was the first wife of Eli but she died and he married Liddy. Sharon inherited her mother's bakery and declared that she was going to make it successful." He said. I remember she was laughed at on social media. He said Ethan frowned deeper.
"Social media is filled with bunch of fools." Ethan said resting his back on his seat.
When Liam saw this, he knew that it meant the conversation was over as they pulled over at the Lancaster mansion as Ethan came down.
"Welcome sir. The old lady has been waiting for your return." Ethan's most trusted bodyguard said as Ethan sighed.
"It's ok Jay. I'll see her." He said entering inside only to see his grandma waiting for him.
"Ethan." She said standing up and hugging him. He hugged her back.
"What took you so long? You got me worried." She said as Ethan gave her a smile.
"I'm ok granny. You don't need to worry about me." He said
"Of course, I do." She said as they both sat down.
"Anne called. She apologized on Lily's behalf. She said lily was scared and was not yet married. So please do forgive her and be patient with her." His granny said as Ethan's eyes turned dark with anger but for his grandma's sake he had to smile.
"It's ok granny. You don't have to worry about that. Your grandson is already married."
Ethan broke the news to her as she became shocked.
"How is that possible? What did you do?" She asked knowing her grandson is fond of doing stupid things when he was angry.
"Nothing granny. I just got married but not to Lily. And from today, no one is allowed to talk about my marriage with Lily as it is never going to happen. It is now a thing of the past." He said standing up and leaving as his grandma watched his retreating back. Her grandson was just like her husband.
Sharon came back home to see her stepmom, sisters and dad waiting for her along with Jason. She dropped her bag on the floor rushing to him. She held his clothes hitting him.
"Why did you do this to me? Why did you break my heart? After everything we've been through. Why?" She asked shoving him as he held her hands.
"I'm sorry Shar. I couldn't marry you. I'm sorry." He said.
"But why?" She shouted crying as her step sister Madina came forward.
"That's because he married me." She said as Sharon stood shocked before she started laughing out.
"What's funny duffer?" Rose, the last daughter said.
"It is funny because Jason would never do that." She said looking at Jason. Right Jason? She asked but when he kept quiet, she got her answered.
Madina scoffed rolling her eyes before turning to Jason.
"Would you tell her should I do the honors?" She asked.
"Yes Shar. Madina and I are married." He said as Sharon felt her whole world crashing down on her.
"What?" she asked again as the tears rolled freely.
"Are you deaf or what?" Madina asked laughing.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. Dear poor Sharon. While you were waiting for him at the city hall, Madina and Jason were having a full blown wedding. It was fun." I'm so sorry you couldn't attend. Shirley, the second daughter said laughing.
