章 4: The First Step is Always The Weirdest
• One Week After the Entrance Exam •
It turned out that we graded ourselves on the written test, good thing i picked up the habit of relearning every bit of material that had ever been given to me every time there was a test coming if not i might get some trouble in this part alone.
It becomes really useful once you get the hang of it.
Oh but for the practical test, they didn't give us any bit of information about that whatsoever.
Now a whole week has passed and the letter from U.A should have arrived today, but i don't know exactly when it's going to arriv-
"Ken! It's a letter from U.A.!"
Arga suddenly calls me from downstairs.
*Stumble* *Stumble* *Stumble*
Rushing down and after almost falling from the stai-
*Slam!*
...After falling from the stairs on my way down, i looked up at Arga who was holding the letter in one hand and a cheeseburger in the other.
"... there's also cheeseburgers in the kitchen, which one do you want first?"
After taking a cheeseburger for myself and Aksa, because he asked for it beforehand, we decided to read the letter in the TV room, with Aksa and Arga sitting on the sofa right beside me.
*Tick* *Tick* *Tick*
The sound of the clock ticking was the loudest in the room as we all just sat there on the sofa looking at the still-closed letter with the U.A. stamp sitting on the coffee table in complete silence.
The silence continued for some time, we all just sat there eating, silently agreeing to finish our burgers first before opening the letter.
- a few minutes later -
After finishing the burgers and washing our hands we were back on the sofa still looking at the closed letter.
Finally, after gathering enough courage, i decided that it was time to open the letter.
Opening a box containing my ceremonial glove, i began to put on the clean white glove contained inside while Aksa patted my back and Arga filmed the whole thing with his phone.
Wearing my ceremonial gloves, i slowly began to open the letter, making sure to not damage the stamp or paper.
But, opening it expecting only some kind of folded-up paper, i instead found a circular chip in addition to the paper that i expected.
"Hoh? What is this?"
All of us looked confused for a moment, not really expecting that thing to be what was inside the letter.
After a moment of confusion, i began to examine the silver-colored chip
"Place on a flat surface"
I read the little label under it out loud.
Putting the chip down on the coffee table, we watched as the small chip began emitting blue light.
"I AM HERE AS A HOLOGRAM!"
Suddenly a hologram screen of All Might appeared before us.
... Holy shit.
The three of us had all our mouths dropped down in shock as the hologram recording of All Might continued speaking with his theme song blaring in the background of the recording
"I AM SORRY IF I'VE KEPT YOU WAITING FOR TOO LONG YOUNG HONSHIRO, BUT DON'T YOU WORRY, WHY? BECAUSE I BRING, THE GOOD NEWS!"
That's it, that's all i needed to hear.
"YEAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"
"LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
"YEAH! HONSHIRO! HONSHIRO!"
While we were celebrating ecstatically the recording of All Might continued talking making us stop our cheering and listen again.
"BUT FIRST, I'M SURE THAT YOU'RE PROBABLY WONDERING, WHAT AM I DOING INSIDE AN ACCEPTANCE LETTER FROM U.A.?
WELL, THE TRUTH IS YOUNG HONSHIRO, YOU ARE LOOKING AT U.A'S NEWEST TEACHER!"
...
"-Eh?"
What?
Did i hear that right?
"THAT'S RIGHT, FROM NOW ON I WILL BE WORKING AT U.A HIGH, HERO DEPARTMENT! I'LL BE LOOKING FORWARD TO MEETING YOU THEN YOUNG HONSHIRO."
All of us looked at the hologram screen in shock.
All Might? Working at U.A? Right at the same time that i got accepted to U.A as well?
" ... Can i still change my application?"
Aksa broke the short silence with a small joke.
"No dumbass, we already got accepted in Shiketsu yesterday"
Arga replied to him.
"Ken, you're one lucky son of a bitch"
"Agree"
Both of them turn their attention back to me who is still watching the recording while temporarily ignoring all other things around me.
"YOU HAVE PASSED THE WRITTEN EXAM, AND AS FOR THE PRACTICAL EXAM, YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY GAINED-
DRUMROLL PLEASE"
*Drumroll*
I watched with bated breath as All Might pointed at the large screen behind him while the drumroll kept on playing in the background.
Then suddenly, the drum stopped, and the screen turned on showing my total points for the practical exam.
"72 POINTS! WHICH LANDED YOU IN SECOND PLACE FOR THE BEST CANDIDATES OF THIS YEAR'S BATCH! MIGHTY IMPRESSIVE!"
Oh yeah, the neighbors are definitely going to complain about the number of loud noises we're making.
It's like having a bunch of Gibbons howling at each other just next door, must have been annoying.
But come on, second place on U.A's Entrance Exam, i'll say that's worth some celebration.
"BUT OF COURSE, THAT'S NOT ALL."
All Might continue.
"DURING THE ENTRANCE EXAM, THE POINTS GAINED FROM ELIMINATING ENEMIES ARE NOT THE SOLE FACTOR IN DETERMINING YOUR ACCEPTANCE.
NOW LOOK AT THE SCREEN AGAIN."
All Might then turned towards the screen again, then the screen changed to a video feed of me, Shoda, and Tetsutetsu pulling other trapped participants from the rubbles and taking them to safety.
But then the 0-pointer began to move toward us as we were still trying to rescue the last participant, Yui Kodai, yet because of the size of the building chunk and with us reaching our stamina limit, we were unable to do much.
And so because we were unable to free her, i decided to stop the robot instead.
"YOU MIGHT THINK THAT YOUR EFFORTS HAVE GONE UNNOTICED, BUT WE THE JUDGES ALWAYS KNOW TO REWARD HEROISM THAT SHINES BRIGHTLY IN THE FUTURE GENERATION."
The video then changes again, now it is in the perspective of someone's head cam that is standing at the giant shoulder of the 0-pointer, right in front of the door that connects to the robot's head.
"Now this, Power Loader-san is a video to explain to you why we couldn't reuse this Executor-Class anymore since you wouldn't believe us when we said that it was destroyed from the inside."
The man wearing the camera said.
He then proceeded to open the door in front of him, revealing what was once a corridor that led to the Executor-Class main power core.
Now all that was left of the corridor were bones, countless amount of them growing out from the floor to the ceiling of the corridor.
"We couldn't go further than this without calling backup but i think this should be enough to tell you how it was destroyed and who did it.
Seriously, these bones are way harder than the normal ones, i've tried using a sledgehammer to break some down and make some way but it just doesn't work, to think that kid still has so much energy after battling nonstop for seven minutes straight was impressive all by itself, but the fact that he did it to save people that he barely knew is a prove that those rescue points we gave him are not for naught.
Now stop complaining and just make another one you lazy son of a bi-"
The video then cuts right after the man says that, All Might then turns his head toward the camera again his smile seemingly becoming even wider than before.
"RESCUE POINTS, GIVEN BY THE JUDGES TO THOSE THAT HAVE THE COURAGE TO SACRIFICE THEIR TIME AND CHANCE TO ACQUIRE MORE POINTS FOR THEMSELF, BUT INSTEAD HELP OTHERS IN GETTING POINTS AS WELL AS SAVING THOSE IN NEED.
THIS IS ANOTHER BASIC QUALITY THAT WE HIGHLY VALUE IN U.A. HIGH.
KENTARO HONSHIRO, 60 RESCUE POINTS!
AND FOR NIRENGEKI SHODA AND TETSUTETSU TETSUTETSU, ALSO 60 POINTS!
THIS GAVE YOU MORE THAN ENOUGH POINTS TO JUMP TO THE FIRST PLACE ON THE LEADERBOARD!"
The screen behind All Might changed again to show the leaderboard, but this time all the rescue points that the participants acquired were added, and my name jumped from second place to first place taking over the previous holder, Katsuki Bakugo.
First place, you heard that right.
Oh and Tetsutetsu got raised to second place, and that Bakugo guy got kicked down to third place, poor him, should've helped more people when he could.
The Gibbons are going at it again, this time even louder and wilder than before.
Aksa had already begun taking selfies with me to send to our friends and bragging about being my best friend and mentor, the usual bullshit.
"AND NOW, ALL I CAN SAY TO YOU IS.
WELCOME, YOUNG HONSHIRO, TO YOUR HERO ACADEMIA."
And with that, the hologram video stops, and the holographic projector stops emitting it's previous blue light, returning to it's original gray color.
As Arga stopped his own recording, we all just dropped down on the sofa, after all that screaming, jumping, and selfies, we just decided to sit happily on the sofa as we began to chat about how our coming first day at high school would be.
• Tokyo West International School - Principal Office •
We were called to the principal office right after the results of the exam came out.
"Never in my years of being the head of this school that three of our students got accepted into the country's top high school for heroics at the same time.
Be proud all of you, with your achievement, you've made this school famous in the eyes of the country, and this has made your juniors even more fired up to chase their dreams just as you have."
At first, he might seem like a genuinely nice guy to you, oh but trust me, our principal is the biggest money-pinching cheap bastard've ever met.
If you could read minds, then you would hear what he was actually thinking while saying all of this to us
"Oh yeah i can already see the commercial for next year, heh these kids are going to make me rich!"
Personally, i don't really like the guy, but you know this is just formality on the school's side
So why not just skip to the important part?

• First Day of School - U.A. High •
So, the number of students admitted via exam is fixed at 36.
While the number of students admitted through recommendation is 4.
And those numbers are divided into 2 classes, with 20 students in each class.
That means there are around 20 people behind this giant door with the letter 1-B painted on it.
But i went got here a little early, so there should be less than that.
"Well, time to see for myself then."
*Door opening sound*
And as i opened the gigantic door I was greeted with the sight of someone familiar.
"-ice to meet you! My name is Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu!"
Tetsutetsu, polite as he is, holds his hand out for a handshake with a girl who is sitting alone in the corner right seat, his overly serious expression is as funny as i remember from yesterday.
The girl he's talking to has teal-colored eyes, and long orange hair that she wears tied into a high ponytail on the left side of her head.
Her bangs are split into three clumps around her eyes, and some of her hair sticks up in large tufts at the top of her head.
She had a cheerful expression on her face as she introduced herself to Tetsutetsu.
"Hi! My name is Itsuka Kendo, nice to meet you too."
As the girl shook his hand, Tetsutetsu turned his attention to the class's door and when he caught sight of me, he immediately rushed straight toward me.
"HONSHIROOO!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR GETTING ME TO SECOND PLACE!"
" *Startled* Woah! Calm down Tetsutetsu, don't say that as if you didn't do anything for that, we wouldn't be able to save that many people that quick if it wasn't for your strength."
*Pat* *Pat*
I patted his shoulder.
But now he's tearing up while gritting his teeth with his Quirk-activated while mumbling.
"Such a manly thing to say!"
Turning to the girl, Kendo, i extended my hand to her as well to greet her.
"Hi, i'm Kentaro Honshiro, a friend of his, nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you as well!"
She's a cheerful one that's for sure, and very light to the eyes too but, i think someone already had eyes for her.
I then look in Tetsutetsu's direction and i see him looking at Kendo like a kid looking at his favorite candy through the window of the candy shop.
But that's not the look of someone who has fallen in love, no not yet, he still had that tad bit of innocence in him i can feel it.
Now what kind of friend would i be if i DIDN'T corrupt that last bit of innocence of his, it's going to be fun.
But that's for another time.
After we exchanged greetings we began picking our seats for the class.
I ended up choosing one of the seats in the front row, whilr Tetsutetsu choose one in the middle and Kendo choosing the back row in the right corner of the room.
One by one more people began to fill the classroom, there was Shoda.
"Oy Shoda! We're in the same class!"
"Heck yeah! All three of us!"
Me and Tetsutetsu greeted the shorthaired boy.
"Oh? Honshiro-kun? Tetsutetsu-kun? Who would've thought that they would put us all in the same class?"
"Hmm, well, maybe that's because we worked together so well at the Entrance Exam?"
I throw out my theory.
(Which is entirely possible, if it happened to Izuku and Ochako what's to say that it didn't happen with the other?)
Moving on, the next one to come into the classroom is the Iron Giant a.k.a Kojiro Bondo.
Now in terms of height, compared to the rest of us, this guy is closer to All Might than he is to us.
But by God's name, his personality couldn't be way further.
When the guy first got into the class, he instantly got everybody's eyes on him.
His massive frame is as intimidating as his cold demeanor, the way he looks at each and every one of us in the face as if he's sizing us up.
One by one he looked through our very souls with his nonexistent eyes while no trace of emotion could be found on his machine-like face.
He then pulled his giant hands, which were larger than his own head up towards his face and covered it like an embarrassed schoolgirl.
"H-hello everyone, p-p-please stop staring at me."
Shit was too unexpected i couldn't stop my laughter from coming out.
After apologizing to the guy, i took responsibility for making him feel uncomfortable and introduced him to the rest of the people in the class.
And he really appreciated that.
Kojiro Bondo, the Iron Giant indeed.
But suddenly, i felt a tap on my shoulder that prompted me to turn around.
"Hello"
We all turned around to see the mysterious origin of the sound and see.
Kodai.
"When did she get in here‽"
All of us thought.
"Eh Kodai-kun, when did you even get in here?"
I asked her with a perplexed expression on my face.
"..just then.."
She answered flatly.
Well, it seems like she's still too nervous to talk in front of this many people, poor girl.
"Huh, well let's introduce you to the rest then"
I gestured to the rest of the people in the room.
She nodded her head.
"...."
But no words came out of her mouth as everybody looked at her in anticipation, she ended up just standing there awkwardly, which looked a little funny.
So i decided to give a little nudge.
"Hehe~ you can do it Kodai-kun, i'll give you a tomato if you do it."
!!!
"MM! My name is Yui Kodai, and i like tomatoes."
In text form that may look like she's excited, but if you actually heard it you wouldn't be able to differentiate it from her usual flat emotionless tone.
Except for the "MM!", she's so cute whenever she does that.
More and more people began to fill the classroom and soon the classroom was filled with chatter from it's various residents.
Me, Shoda, Tetsutetsu, and Bondo were sitting in a circle surrounding Tetsutetsu's table while discussing about what we would be doing on our first day.
But suddenly, the giant door of the classroom slams open revealing a very tall, wide-set man of pure bulk, with a few visible scars showing on his left cheek and the left side of his thick-ass neck.
He wears a costume that consists of a dark red skin-tight suit with a very low U-shaped collar, which exposes the middle of his chest and is lined with a thick black Y-shaped trim.
He has a short pale gray hair and a wide mouth with two prominent lower canines, which appear even when his mouth is closed giving a very clear indication of who this is.
"Good morning everyone! My name is Sekijiro Kan, and from now on i will be your homeroom teacher! Understood‽"
Rushing back to our seats we all answered him in unison.
"Yes, Sensei!"
That's right, Vlad motherfucking King is in the house.
Or- class for that matter.
"Now, before all of you go to the entrance ceremony, let me make one thing clear to you all!"
Vlad King points in our direction.
"Some of you may have thought that you'd be free from competition after you entered the Hero Course, but make no mistake because U.A. is always looking for the best, and your position in this class could be replaced by someone from the Support, General, goddammit even someone from the Business Course could replace you if you're not careful.
Meet me in P.E. Grounds after the ceremony, we will conduct a Quirk Apprehension Test that will allow me to determine if you deserve to be in this class, or you're just lucky. Understood?"
The more he speaks the more his tone becoming more and more colder.
"Yes, Kan-sensei."
Is the only thing we could answer him with as he eyed each and every one of us one by one, but this time he actually is sizing us up.
"Then go ahead and go to the entrance ceremony, excuse me."
With a short farewell, he left the classroom, letting all of us finally release our breath that we don't even remember holding.
The atmosphere of the class was a little heavy as we all looked in each other's direction, none of us wanted to be the one to be replaced, but if what Vlad King said was true then this was still no time to relax.
I was the first to stand up from my seat while the rest of the class was still seated in theirs.
Walking toward Tetsutetsu's table, i could see him smile as i approached his table, his sharp pointed teeth reflected some of the light of the room as he unconsciously activated some part of his Quirk.
"Hey Mr. 2, so are you gonna start moving or are you already content with your place?"
I jokingly mock him, resulting in his smile becoming even more wide and toothy.
"Heh, you better watch out or i'll take that place faster than you'd like to think"
He replied to me.
"Oh yeah keep talking, i'll be sure to watch you from the top while you're trying."
And so we all went to the entrance ceremony while still a little nervous about the upcoming test, we decided that "Hey, it's still the first day, how bad could it possibly be?"
But as it turned out, we are all a bunch of dumbasses to even thought about that.
But during the entrance ceremony, Shoda notices that something is off.
"Um, guys? Why are all the seats in front of us empty?"
He's right, a class worth of seats in front of us is all without an occupant, a stark contrast compared to the very full seats surrounding it
"Based on the information that is available to us, it appears that the seats located in front of us belonged to class 1-A, the second class of the Hero Course.
It is possible that their homeroom teacher may have occupied them with certain matters at the moment."
Now first, i wanted to apologize for calling this guy a Bigfoot when i first saw him, i couldn't be farther from the truth.
The closest thing that you could compare him with is the Beast from Beauty and the Beast.
Not only because of his looks, no, but because of his demeanor which is more fitting for a noble than anything else.
He walks with a certain confidence on him. His words drip with sophistication, each sentence meticulously crafted to convey the essence of a man of immense intellect.
Jurota Shishida, truly a man of great standing.
"Tch- must've got scared and ran away, weaklings."
This bug-head guy on the other hand is pretty much the exact opposite of Shishida's whole etiquette.
This guy is not friendly at all.
*boom*
Suddenly a muffled sound of an explosion was heard coming from outside the building.
All of us turned our heads toward the sound of the explosion wondering about the origin of such sound.
But looking at the U.A. staff looking calm, as if they've expected this, leads to us not questioning it even further.
But no matter, after the entrance ceremony ended we all quickly went back to our classroom to get our P.E. uniform, and quickly went to our next destination, U.A.'s P.E. Grounds.
• P.E. Grounds - U.A. High •
All of us are lined up on a large flat terrain in our P.E. uniforms with Kan-sensei watching over us.
"Seems like everyone's here.
*Clear throat*
All right you maggots! Now that the ceremony is over we will be having a Quirk Apprehension Test!
All of you should be familiar with this sort of thing, softball throwing, standing long jump, 50m sprint, grip strength test... The usual physical test that you take back in middle school!
But if you're hoping to take the same kind of test here then there is not enough word in the Japanese language to describe just how stupid you are.
Because here in U.A. you are required to use your Quirk in any way that you can think of to help you with this test!
Kentaro Honshiro!"
"P-Present!"
I was startled by him suddenly calling my name.
"You score first on the entrance exam, congratulations!"
"Thank you, sense-"
"I'm not finished speaking! Now go down and give me a 20 for interrupting me."
"Gack!- yes sensei."
That whole conversation was rigged from the start, now i couldn't do anything but do my 20 pushups while being watched by my classmates, bloody hell.
Some of them had a grim look on their faces as they realized what kind of homeroom teacher we just got.
*20 pushups later*
"Now with that out of the way, Honshiro! Take this softball and go inside that circle!"
I did as i was told and went inside the circle without much question.
"Now throw that ball as far as you can using your Quirk, i don't care what you do or how you do it as long as it stays inside the circle anything's legal."
As he said, anything is legal.
But, looking at the softball in my hand, the only thing i could think of was.
"I'm going for a home run"
Putting the ball on one hand i began to create a bat to hit the ball with, just the right length for my height and is light enough to swing easily.
Detaching the newly constructed bat from the palm of my hand i then swing it around a couple of times to get familiar with the weight and length of the bat.
Deciding that it was enough, i then threw the ball high up in the air and entered a hitting stance as i watched the ball that was beginning to fall back down to earth.
*Swoosh!* *Pow!*
A clean hit!
Driving the bat as hard as i could, i sent the ball soaring across the air with a loud sound of bone hitting the ball.
"The first step to breaking your limit is to know your limit!
112.5 meters!" (or around 369'1")
He screamed as he showed the numbers on the phone he was holding.
This resulted in various reactions from my classmates.
"Woah, so we can use our Quirks as much as we like‽"
Said a guy with short brown hair, spiked up at odd angles on his head and oval-shaped eyes, with weirdly shaped large pupils.
"This is so cool!"
Said a girl with large, upturned, dusky green eyes, long lower eyelashes, and notably long and pointed teeth.
One mean-ass look from Kan-sensei is enough to shut both of they're ass up.
"Since all of you seem to be enjoying this how about i up the stakes a little huh?"
Oh now they've done it.
"After the end of this test, the one with the lowest points on these 8 challenges will face severe punishment.
And to any of you who have started thinking about giving up, i suggest you leave now, i don't need cowards in my class."
We all gulp in nervousness as he begins to inspect us one by one trying to see even a tinge of fear on our faces.
"You think the villains are going to play by the rules? Do you think they'll just hand themself over the moment they see a Hero? I've lost multiple colleagues over my career because of idiotic beliefs like that.
They'll cut you up and drink your blood for all they could care. And if you think can't handle seeing that, then you're as good as dead weight for the rest of us.
You wanna know why we keep being heroes? It's because when everything falls apart, and all hope is lost who do you think will have to stay till the very end‽ You can't cry for your mommy, you can't call for help, and the only one left behind is you! Left behind to deal with the danger that others caused!
And if you think that heroes can't get scared, then you are stupider than a bunch of rock!
Heroes get scared, but when they do, you know what they did? They grit their teeth till they crack and swallow that fear to do what needs to be done!
Now stop acting like a bunch of idiots and prove me wrong!
Show me that you can stop being a bunch of useless maggots and become something that earns the right to be called, a Hero!
Plus Ultra! Something that you will have to start living by!"
The atmosphere turned heavy from his speech, but now, instead of the feeling of dread, now their faces showed a face full of determination.
Seemingly satisfied with our reaction, he gave us one final smirk before starting the test
"Heh, welcome to U.A. High Heroics maggots! Hope you enjoy your stay here!"
And with that, began the Quirk Apprehension Test montage.
• Challenge No. 1 - 50m Sprint •
Again i was called up first, but this time it was not because of the entrance exam, no.
But it turned out i chose to take seat No. 1 as my seat, which means i will be called first in most things, God dammit.
The one who was called to go at the same time as me was the guy who was sitting behind me in class.
He is a normal guy with shaggy dark brown hair and black eyes, which are kinda thin and lazy-looking.
He is a little below me in terms of height and he has a calm but solemn expression on his face.
But since he doesn't seem that unfriendly to me, i decided to properly introduce myself to him.
After he walked toward me and placed himself on the track next to me, i extended my hand toward him and offered him a handshake.
"Hi, i'm Kentaro Honshiro."
Short and straight to the point since he doesn't seem like the type to be long-winded in conversation.
He looked at me and my extended hand for a short time before accepting my gesture and shaking my hand.
"Hi, Sen Kaibara, nice to meet you."
Hey, he's actually friendly, since that's the best i'm gonna get so i just focused back on the camera/robot that was supposed to give us our signal on when to run, why is it holding a gun?
At first, i was thinking of just running normally, but then i remembered.
"Wait, could i use the same thing that i used on the entrance exam? Would that work?"
Would launching myself by growing bones from my feet work horizontally?
Definitely yes, but would the possibility of it injuring me be many times bigger?
Also yes, but since when did i start caring about that?
And so after deciding my approach, i took off my socks and shoes and entered a squatting-like stance but with my body leaning to the front and my hands supporting my weight.
Then the little camera bot started counting down.
"Ready. Set. *Gun shot!* "
Immediately, i launch myself by growing my bones that are connected from the soles of my feet to the ground as fast as i can.
I have to go fast enough so that i don't drop the ground before crossing the finish line.
" *Beep* 4s47."
*Thud!*
Ok, i might need to work on my landing a bit more, eating dirt whenever i need to get somewhere quickly is not really sustainable for a Hero now is it?
" *Beep* 5s36."
After disconnecting the bones from my feet i look at my side to see Kaibara finishing his run just a few moments after me.
Looking at his legs, they are spinning rapidly! How could he do that?
"Woah! What'd you do?"
I asked him as his legs stopped spinning and returned back to normal.
After releasing a few controlled breaths he looks toward me before answering.

I know someone who would love to be able to do that.
"I don't know, that's just how my Quirk works, and i can rotate other parts of my body, not just my legs."
Well, that's definitely cool, and yeah Aksa would definitely love to be able to do that.
But that also got me thinking.
"Wait wouldn't sliding across the ground with just the tip of your soles be bad for your shoes?"
But, instead of answering me directly, he instead just turned around so that his back was facing me.
He then showed me the bottom of his shoes, revealing a completely flat of what was once an eccentric pattern on the rubber outsole of his shoes now leaving only the flattened EVA layer underneath it.
Damn.
P.O.V Break!
Now, let's introduce this guy's Quirk so i don't have to in the future.
Sen Kaibara.
Quirk: "Gyrate" This quirk allows him to rotate any part of his body at incredibly high speeds.
The way that Sen uses this Quirk is to turn his limbs into something akin to a drill, enhancing his hand-to-hand combat capabilities significantly.
Personally, i think this Quirk has a lot of untapped potential.
I mean, imagine if this guy learned about the Rakshasa's Palm technique, bro would be a monster in CQC.
Anyway, back to normal P.O.V

Alright, now is currently Shoda and Shisida's turn and i'm actually quite curious about how both of them would do in this test.
Well, i already knew about Shoda's Quirk so i have some ideas on how he would use it, but Shisida.
Him suddenly taking off his shirt is a bit surprising but it helps support my theory of his Quirk.
I haven't asked about what his Quirk is yet but, i got a very good guess of what it is, but let's not make any assumptions just yet and just watch.
"Ready. Set. *Gun shot!* "
*Thump*
And as i expected, as Shoda took his first step forward, he used his Quirk on the ground and activated it while his foot was still touching the ground.
Resulting in his whole body being launched forward from the force.
But, not far behind him is a fully transformed Shisida running on all four like a goddammed silverback gorilla going to run your shit 10x over.
You see, just right after the little robot fired it's gun, Shisida activated his Quirk and transformed into an extra large beast-man straight out of a fantasy novel.
But he doesn't look hideous tho, his face just gets larger just like the rest of his body.
And his glasses somehow still fit him, what the hell?
" *Beep* 4s42."
Shoda ended up being the first to the finish line with Shishida being just a second behind.
" *Beep* 5s84."
"Good work. You're faster than I expected."
Shoda said to Shishida who had just transformed back to his human form.
"Indeed many have told me in the past, but i could reciprocate your sentiment. Despite your physique, your athleticism exceeds my expectations."
Shoda gives a genuine smile at the polite beast-man a replies to him with friendliness.
"A lot have said that to me too, i'm Nirengeki Shoda, nice to meet you."
He offers the furry man the gesture of a handshake.
"My name is Jurota Shishida, pleased to meet you as well Shoda-san."
P.O.V Break!
Alright, it's our boy Shishida's turn now.
Jurota Shishida
Quirk: "Beast" His Quirk allows Jurota to transform into a large, monstrous, well-beast.
When he activated his Quirk he grew in size, his animalistic body becoming even more like that of a wild creature's, sporting huge fangs and being covered entirely in thick fur.
Not only that but he also grows significantly stronger, and faster and all 5 senses are greatly enhanced as a result of his transformation.
Back to normal P.O.V!

It's Tetsutetsu's turn now and he is going with a girl, the girl he's with has large, upturned, dusky green eyes, long lower eyelashes, and notably long and pointed teeth just like Tetsutetsu's own.
She has dark moss green colored hair that reaches just below her shoulders, aside from a short clump that hangs in the center of her forehead and grows thinner and wavier the lower it gets.
Again, no idea what her name is so i hope Tetsutetsu will introduce himself to her so that i can know what's her name is.
But it seems like that isn't going to happen since Kan-sensei is growing impatient about how we're all being too slow to even keep his interest so he orders us to and i quote.
"Double time it, you time-wasting slug! We don't have all day here!"
And so without any introduction, they both just nodded at each other in acknowledgment and got into running position.
"Ready. Set. *Gun shot!* "
Tetsutetsu, activating his Quirk turns his skin into steel, and while this does make him heavier, activating his Quirk also grants him enhanced strength, allowing him to run faster than he could in his normal state.
*Tap* *Tap* *Tap* *Tap* *Tap* *Tap* *Tap*
But, just as he began running, he began hearing a weird tapping sound just behind him.
"Huh?"
Looking back he was met with met with quite an unsettling sight.
A disembodied pair of shoes was "running" faster than he could, and it made a tapping sound of the shoes hitting the ground but lacked the weight on every step as they were only imitating the act of running.
But the most disturbing part was not the legs, no.
It was the group of floating dismembered body parts flying not far behind it that was certainly more terrifying than the shoes.
"Heehahahaha-!"
Laughed the floating mouth as the various body parts flew past Tetsutetsu to the finish line.
A more sudden P.O.V. break!
Setsuna Tokage
Quirk: "Lizard Tail Splitter" This Quirk allows Setsuna to split her body into multiple pieces and control them telekinetically. (Basically the Bara-Bara no Mi)
Setsuna can split off pieces from any part of her body. Those cutoff bits of hers move around by floating, following her will.
Also, the smaller the part that she split off the easier it is for her to control it, allowing it to go faster than a bigger one.
Alright, that's it, back to normal P.O.V.!
" *Beep* 4s23"
As her shoes crossed the finish line she stopped allowing the rest of her body to catch up to it and began remerging with each of her parts and fully making her whole again.
" *Beep* 5s63"
As Tetsutetsu was finished, he deactivated his Quirk and looked at his fellow sharp-toothed person who was smiling at him, showing him her sharpies.
Tetsutetsu smiles back in return showing his own sharpies before complimenting her performance on the run.
"Man, your Quirk is so cool! I'm Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu, nice to meet you!"
You know, despite having a bit of a scary look this guy is emitting so much positive energy it's almost impossible for you to not like him.
Oh yeah, and that girl's name is Setsuna Tokage.
• Challenge No. 2 - Grip Test •
"Alright, so we're doing this at the same time?"
Asked Shoda while holding the small dynamometer in his right hand
"Yes."
I answered.
Reason? No idea.
"It'll be more fun!"
Chimed Tetsutetsu from my side, well there's your reason.
"Alright, you guys ready?"
I asked them both.
They both nodded in confirmation and after they did i began the countdown
"3..2..1..Go!"
Right after the count of go, we all began to squeeze the dynamometer as hard as we could.
"Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!- *Beep!* gack! I'm out."
I tried to use my Quirk to press the device harder using my bones, but after reaching 75 kg, my finger could no longer press any harder so i let go of the device and relaxed my arm.
I was the first one to let go, and now only Shoda and Tetsutetsu remain of our trio.
"Come on! Come oooon!"
Tetsutetsu hype himself up as hard as he can while gritting his teeth with his Quirk activated, every time he grinds them together sparks can be seen flying off his mouth.
" *Grunt* huff-huff! *Grunt* "
While beside him, Shoda kept constantly using his Quirk by activating his Quirk every time his fingers made contact with the grip of the device, adding several hundred grams every time he did.
" *Beep!* Fuh-... 82, not too bad."
Now, with Shoda down, only Tetsutetsu's left of us tree.
"Come on Tetsutetsu!"
"Come on! Hit that hundred!"
Both of us began hyping him up even harder.
"Come on-Come on! 92! .. 93! .. 94! .. 95! Come on, just five more!"
I screamed practically in his ears.
"97! .. 98! .. 99!! .. Yeaaaah!!!
• Challenge No. 3 - Standing Long Jump •
I just did the same thing that i did at the 50m sprint, cleared the whole sandbox that way.
• Challenge No. 4 - Repeated Side Steps •
Meh i think did well enough on this test, no one really had an advantage with their Quirks for this one, except for that Tokage girl, and that other guy with the speech bubble as a head, they both got more than the average.
You know, this guy's Quirk is as unusual as i expected it to be.

After Tokage was finished with the test the student after her is called.
"Next! Manga Fukudashi!"
Called Kan-sensei.
Ah yes, Manga Fukidashi, possibly one of the strangest beings i've seen in my whole life, like bro what kind of mutation do you have to have to not need an eye to see, nose to smell and breathe, mouth to speak, like, he shouldn't be put in the mutation category because he is just using magic at this point.
And i'm not kidding when i say he's basically using magic.
"Yosh!"
Exclaimed the shortest boy in our class (fuck it, i'm making him 160 cm / 5'3", i just can't picture him being 140 cm / 4'7" tall i'm sorry.)
You wanna know what he did? He literally just said.
" "*Boing*" "*Boing*" "
Those two words that he just said then materialized themself from his head as writing, and then those floating words just landed right on two lines except the center line.
And then, when he started his turn and took his first step, and when his feet landed on the ground where his writing landed, instead of his feet hitting the ground like normal, this guy got bounced to the opposite side like he just stepped on a trampoline.
What, the fuck.

Now let's get to this guy's bullshit of a Quirk.
Manga Fukidashi
Quirk: "Echoes Act tw-" *Clear throat* i mean, "Comic" This Quirk allows Manga to materialize words in midair by speaking them. These words are onomatopoeia (words that describe sounds), these onomatopoeia words are manifested with the same effects as the sound they're based on.
A.k.a pure sorcery.
Alright, back to normal P.O.V. with you.
• Challenge No. 5 - Ball Throw •
Since i already did this one i'll just give you a short summary of some of my classmates that i think are interesting.
Kendo!
You know i thought the bigger her hands get the heavier they get, but apparently, the bigger her hands get the stronger she gets.
So when she enlarged them until they were almost twice her own size and she threw the ball so hard that it created a very strong gust of wind, i was surprised, to say the least.
P.O.V break for best girl Kendo, hell yeah!
Itsuka Kendo
Quirk: "Big Fist" This Quirk grants Itsuka the ability to enlarge both of her hands to a gigantic size. With the increased size comes enhanced strength, striking power, and gripping strength.
While Itsuka herself does not seem to be affected by the increased weight of her gigantified hands.
Ok P.O.V break end, next!
Horse girl!
Not! An actual horse girl, but she's half-horse half-girl, and not like a centaur either.
But apparently, her Quirk has no connection to horses whatsoever, her Quirk is actually her horns.
She can detach her horns and control them telekinetically, like Tokage and her body parts.
For this test, she used one of her horns and stabbed the ball with it making it stuck to the detached horn.
She then telekinetically launched that horn as fast as she could, taking the ball with it.
Cool.
America! Fuck yeah! P.O.V break!
Pony Tsunotori
Quirk: "Horn Cannon" This Quirk gives Pony a pair of horns on her head. She can launch her horns as projectiles, and a new set will grow back almost instantly. She possesses the ability to remotely control up to four of them as well, allowing her to change their mid-air trajectory to get around obstacles.
Quick question, what state do you think Pony comes from?
I'm thinking either California or Texas, definitely the warmer states so it's either the West Coast or the Southern States.

• Challenge No. 6 - Sit Ups •
Yeah, Tetsutetsu got us all beat by a MARGIN, man's is definitely the top of our class in terms of fitness.
• Challenge No. 7 - Seated Toe Touch •
Aksa and Arga once sat on top of me just so i could do this shit, thankfully they don't need to do that anymore.
• Challenge No. 8 - Distance Run •
Even though we were all tired from all of the previous tests, this one was still achievable, only a couple of us were stuck in the back line, but one girl, in particular, was dead last on the pact.
She was a short girl of a thin build, with honey-brown hair curved inwards in a bob cut that reached just below her narrow shoulders. She also has a long fringe that completely covers her eyes, hiding most of her face, and her mouth is rather large when compared to her proportions.
I felt bad for her for because of her smaller build she wasn't really able to shine in any of the fitness tests, and from the lack of use from her Quirk suggests that it's either not compatible with the tests or that she's is shy since even though i couldn't see her eyes her mouth is always curved downwards in a sullen expression.
• Quirk Apprehension Test - Finished! •
After all of the tests are finished we are all called back to gather up and see our ranking and total score.
"Alright, now that we're finally done i'm gonna show you your total score and ranking on this test all at once so that you can see for yourself who comes first and who comes last.
Understood?"
Kan-sensei told us.
"Yes, Sensei!"
He then taps the screen on his phone one time and the phone that he is holding suddenly projects a holographic screen of our ranking.

Now i'm not very sure who this Kinoko Komori is but, guessing from the defeated expression on a particular brunette was a big pointer on who it is.
"Here are your test results, now i'm sure you remember what i said about what will happen to the last place on this test, so i will only say this once.
Kinoko Komori, get in front of me."
Kan-sensei suddenly orders.
And as i thought, the little brunette girl broke off from our group and went to stand in front of our homeroom teacher, her legs shaking a little with every step she took.
And as she stood in front of him, he had to look down on her just because of the sheer difference in their height which made the scene even harder to watch.
But contrary to, i'm willing to bet most of our expectations, he gets down so that he can get on her level and talk to her in a soft yet firm tone.
"Kinoko Komori, can you tell me why you are standing in front of me now?"
That shit took us all by surprise we all thought the same thing in unison.
"The change!"
Ignoring our surprised expression, Kan-sensei continued his conversation with Komori.
"B-because i-i got last on the Quirk Apprehension Test."
She answered, her words got caught in her mouth several times from her nervousness.
"But why are you last? Don't you really like your Quirk? You said so on your application."
He asked again.
"I-i do, but my Quirk is useless in this test, a-and i'm not the fittest girl in here, b-but i m-my Quirk can be useful i promise!"
Komori tries to give him her reasoning, but as it turns out, not being necessary.
"Then prove it."
He tells her.
"Eh?"
She got a little confused by his sudden order.
"Go to that clearing and use your Quirk however you like, if you need a test subject then use me as one.
Take this as a remedial for you"
...
"Eh‽"
Before we knew it, they both were already in a clearing with the rest of us observing from quite a far distance, as per Komori's request.
She said she didn't want us to be affected by her Quirk, which just made us even more curious about just what her Quirk is.
"Are you ready‽"
Asked Kan-sensei who was standing not very far away from Komori, but far enough that he felt the need to scream to her.
"Yes!"
She answers.
Then, a very faint cloud of dust began coming out from her body and began rapidly covering the whole area around her, including covering Kan-sensei but he didn't move a muscle in response.
And then.
*Poof!*
*Poof!* *Poof!*
*Poof!* *Poof!* *Poof!* *Poof!* *Poof!* *Poof!* *Poof!* *Poof!* *Poof!* *Poof!*
Mushrooms.
Mushrooms everywhere.
They grow on everything that was touched by that cloud of dust from earlier, which we realized, was not a cloud of dust, but spores, billions upon billions of them.
They spread so wide that we had to take a few steps back just so that we were sure we were not touched by the spores.
In absolute horror, we look back at the source of all of these mushrooms and see almost a completely different person, with a gleeful expression on her face, her almost constant giggle just adds to the crazy look on her face.
"Hihihi~ oh Agaricus campestris-kun, nice to meet you too, and you too Bolbitius titubans-chan, you all look so cute together noko! Hihihi~"
Oh yeah, she's definitely insane.
I fell asleep while writing this part, so i'm gonna put the P.O.V. break for her Quirk here!
Kinoko Komori
Quirk: "Mushroom" This Quirk allows her to spread various types of fungal spores from her body. Once these make contact with any solid surface be it her surroundings, her own body, or even other people's bodies they will quickly grow into full-grown mushrooms.
They only last for 2-3 hours tho. And her spores spread better in a humid environment.
End P.O.V. Break!
" *Gasp!* What do we have here noko? A little Calvatia gigantea? (it's the size of her head) Oh, you're just begging me to eat you, don't you? *Bite* *Munch* so tasty noko~"
She just picked up a random mushroom and ate it! I-I'm just gonna pray that she knows all of these mushrooms enough to not get killed.
" *Clear throat* Komori, are you done with your rambling?"
Oh, right! We still have our teacher in there and- OH GOD!
From head to toe, from his fingertips to his ears! There's no part of that isn't covered in some kind of mushrooms, it's a scene straight out of a horror film.
But this guy just looks like he couldn't care less!
"Oh, Kan-sensei! You look more handsome than usual noko!"
I gotta give to the guy, he's a true pro-Hero with how calm he is with his situation right now.
"It's a little itchy and hard to move now, but i still don't see how you can save people or even stop Villains with this.
Care to explain?"
He asked her still with that soft tone that he used previously.
"Well, if i want to catch some bad Villain, then i could just grow some mean mushrooms on their body noko! Like Epidermophyton floccosum and Trichophyton rubrum, oh-oh or maybe i could grow some Candida auris in their stomach, then they'll feel sick and i can arrest them noko!"
Ok, i usually don't understand half of the thing that she's saying but i recognize one thing here
Trichophyton rubrum is a species of fungus that is responsible for the most common cause of athlete's foot, fungal infection of nails, jock itch, and ringworm all over the world.
How do i know this? Well, i have to do a presentation about this thing for my biology class back in middle school.
So if what i'm hearing is correct, then this girl's solution on how to catch Villains is essentially, by causing fungal infection all over their body until they give up.
Actually not the worst thing that i've ever heard about how a Hero detains a Villain, but still not one of the good ones either.
"Is that so?"
See, even Vlad King is caught off guard.
• Unexpected Remedial - Ends! •
"Alright! The test is over!"
*Cheers*
We all cheer in happiness that this test is finally over, we're all just about ready to go home at this point.
"What are you all cheering for? Your test will only get harder from this point on so you better be prepared, now get back to class, you all can go home after the bell rings, class dismissed!"
And with that, our homeroom teacher walks away, officially marking the end of today's school.
"Man, just the first day we're already ordered to go all out, this school really is something else."
"Hell yeah! I'll be ready to face anything!"
Chatter began to break out inside the classroom as we all waited patiently for the bell to ring so we all could go home.
While waiting, i decided to approach a particular person that i've been interested in.
"Hey, Fukidashi-kun right? I'm Kentaro Honshiro, nice to meet you."
Seriously, i'm still curious about this guy's Quirk, having a stand power as Quirk? Since when has that become a thing?
"Oh, you're Kentaro Honshiro, the guy who got first on the entrance exam, nice to meet you too."
He's said to meet while bowing his head a little.
A..little expressive but hey not too bad.
"You know, i actually wanted to ask a few things about your Quirk."
I told him straightforwardly, it was almost time for the bell to ring now so i wanted to get my answer quickly.
"Sure just ask anything."
He told me.
"People always ask me about this stuff, i wonder what made them so curious."
Huh?
"Huh?"
That just.
"Huh? What is it, why are you looking at me like that?"
He asked me.
Did...did he not know?
"Ehh "People always ask me about this stuff, i wonder what made them so curious.", that's what you thinking about?"
His fa-...i wanted to say that his face turned surprised, but that's a lie since he didn't have a face to begin with.
"Woah! That's exactly what i was thinking about! How did you know?"
He apparently doesn't know about it, no way.
"Your...thought got written on your head, it's actually pretty easy to read it."
Now he looked even more surprised than before.
"Huh? Really? Wouldn't somebody have told me that already if that was true?"
His thoughts appear on his face again.
So to prove my point, i pulled out my phone as fast as i could and immediately took a picture of his face.
After taking that picture i immediately show it to him as proof.
"See? It's written on your face."
...
But i was met with silence this time, with his shoulder slump and his back no longer able to hold his body.
His head drops on the table with a loud thud as he realizes the lie that he has been living.
"No one has ever said that to me...in my whole 15 years of living..no one has ever told me that...it's all a lie."
Bro was devastated.
I ended up consoling him through this revelation and forgot about asking my question until after the bell had already ringed.
• After the bell ring •
I was walking home together with Tetsutetsu and Shoda, and since we all got to U.A by train we decided to go to the train station together while chatting.
"Man first day in U.A. is crazy right?"
I asked both of them.
" *Nod* *Nod* yeah, but according to our schedule, tomorrow should be pretty normal. And then we'll have Basic Heroing in the day after that."
Shoda responded to me.
"Man, i can't believe we're in U.A. already, i've always dreamed of this when i was still in middle school, but actually being here now, i can't say it's exactly how i imagine it to be."
Tetsutetsu suddenly comes up with something deep.
Me and Shoda looked at him in surprise as we didn't expect him to be this...sentimental?
"Damn, where did that one come from?"
"Yeah Tetsutetsu, i never thought you'd actually think that deep, for once."
Tetsutetsu just looked at us offended while veins began bulging out on his head.
Ah, the first day of high school, My Hero Academia will be quite crazy it seems.
