"Actually, it doesn't matter if you think that way, those schemers outside dare not directly harm Mrs. Cole," Elder Witt said, waving his hand dismissively.
William Cole raised an eyebrow, then finally voiced the question that had been lingering in his mind, "Who actually is Mrs. Cole?"
"She is the wife of the Saint Master," Elder Witt replied, startling William.
"What?" William was taken aback. He had guessed that Mrs. Cole must be a person of significance, but he had not expected her to be the wife of the Saint Master.
Elder Witt smiled faintly, "What else did you think?"
"Since the demise of the old Saint Master ten years ago, Mrs. Cole has been managing everything in Saint Hall. But five years ago, after she was poisoned, she gradually stepped back."
"Now, the decisions in Saint Hall are made through a joint hearing and the Elders Council, handling its affairs and supervising the major families and powers of Capital City."
