"Don't tell me you're offering your heart to me in return for saving you?" William Cole said, exasperated.
The girl seemed a little embarrassed, "No, it's not like that, actually my mom wants me to come over for dinner."
"She wants to introduce me to a potential match for marriage, but I don't want a family-arranged wedding. I originally wanted to find someone to pretend to be my boyfriend."
"But you didn't find such a person, did you?"
"Please, do me a favor. Could you pretend to be my boyfriend just once?" The girl swung William's arm in a plea.
Being the type to lend a hand where it's needed, Cole decided to oblige.
He barely knew the girl, but she seemed alright.
He nodded his head in agreement, "Fine, but only this once."
"Once I'm done pretending to be your boyfriend, we'll part ways without interfering with each other's lives."
"Deal!" The girl agreed without hesitation.
