William Cole's breath was ragged as he fixed his gaze on the elder before him.
With a smile on his face, Lord Buddha stared at William Cole calmly, "Didn't you want to kill me?"
"I'm right here, why don't you kill me?"
William Cole stepped forward, wielding his dagger, "Do you think I wouldn't dare?" He laughed hysterically.
Lord Buddha burst out laughing, then glanced around, "Ask them, see if you dare to kill me."
The ninth concubine immediately stood up, "William Cole, if you harm a single hair on Lord Buddha's head, I assure you, you won't live to see tomorrow."
Robert Torres, the third head of the Safflower Merchants, shouted furiously, "William Cole, have you lost your mind?"
"Do you know who Lord Buddha is? Yet, you dare to hold a knife against him?"
Bald Lane from Waterside muttered, "Young man, stop messing around and put your knife away."
