A couple of hours later, Ziza was bidding farewell and chatting with guests that pressed to congratulate her when Rafiq came up to her, placing his hand on the small of her back.

"We're leaving soon, so get ready. I am going to make sure our transport is brought around." His lips brushed against the shell of her ear when he bent down to whisper into her ear.

For a second her brain lost its ability to process the words in her ear. Instead, all that brain power was being used to so fine tune the awareness of his near presence. His solid figure was pressed so close to her she slightly melted inside as his body heat radiated from him.

Her breath stilled in her throat as she imagined his warm palm sliding up or around her torso in a show of possession. The long fingers on his hand splaying out across her clothed belly. Simply conjuring the pictures in her head had her flushing, it surprisingly felt real. That was when the pressure of his palm increased on her back.
