“Huh!?” Kong-Shi’s face visibly paled upon hearing Zheng-Fu’s words, as he had actually planned to drink the potion continuously. Zheng-Fu’s mention of “impotence” made him rethink and consider not drinking it again.
“But, Father, if you take a week or two to fully stabilize your energy, drinking a second bottle will be fine!” Zheng-Fu couldn’t hold back his laughter at his father’s reaction. He wasn’t entirely lying; he simply wanted his father’s energy to stabilize before adding more.
“Oh!” Kong-Shi’s expression brightened at Zheng-Fu’s advice. Thinking it over, he realized his son’s advice was reasonable. Rapidly increasing energy without stabilizing it first would not be wise. Perhaps he’d been too focused on “that” and forgot this basic step.
