Old Erne thought for a moment before answering, "Kythe is the one who had an encounter with the female. He also knows the area well and has experience dealing with feral beasts. I recommend that we send him along with a few other skilled warriors." 

Cain's expression hardened at the mention of his younger brother's name, but he knew that Old Erne was right. Kythe was the best choice for this mission. 

"Very well, I will appoint Kythe to be the leader of the scout team. We will send him once he has rested together with a team of warriors to scout the area. But they must be careful. We don't want to lose any of the pack members to those feral beasts."

Kythe stepped forward, looking as though he was truly grateful for the opportunity to prove his worth to his brother and the tribe. "I won't let you down, young leader. I'll bring back the information needed to rescue the female."
