Mai sobbed in Midori's arms as soon as the latter dragged her into her embrace.

Midori's eyes twinkled with rage as she beheld the snake siblings who dared to torment Mai.

Chie's hand, a porcelain butterfly, fluttered to rest on Fumiko's in a placating gesture. Stepping forward, with a serene smile adorning her face, she embodied the picture of a perfect Japanese wife.

Although she was speaking about an atrocious matter within the Takigawa household, her tone remained calm and her manner of speech amicable.

"Midori-san, welcome back," she nodded toward Midori.

"Headmistress Kinoshita, welcome to the Takigawa mansion," she then addressed Takiko with a respectful bow. "I am Chie Takigawa, the first daughter-in-law of the Takigawa family. We took the liberty of investigating the fraud case on your behalf. Regretfully, we found Mai-san guilty of the crime."
