Nazmi stood in front of the place that should have been her family's home. However, what she found was not a house – but wreckage.
All that remained of the main building was ashes, and the greenhouse had been shattered into a pile of broken glass and debris.
Caelus and Aero, who had made the trip with her, stood in somber silence. Both men were wary of Nazmi's mental state, afraid to say anything, lest their words hurt her even further.
"He's dead," the nymph said with certainty. Her voice was firm, and her disposition was calm – but, even so, silent tears escaped the corners of her eyes and slid down her pale cheeks.
Aero furrowed his brows with concern, "He may have just escaped, we haven't found hi-"
Nazmi interrupted him without even turning around, "No. He is gone. I can feel it."
Caelus stepped forward and placed a gentle hand on the nymph's small shoulder. "We c-can still find his remains to-to take home."
"Albi" means "my heart" in Arabic, for those who don't know! It is a term of endearment.
