章 67: Tactical retreat

Nazmi painfully willed her eyes to open. Her vision was blurry, and all she could see were colors and shapes… and fortunately, a pink figure was the first thing she saw. There was a soft arm around her back, holding her upright, and another atop her knees. She wanted to speak, but her mouth was dry… and she didn't even need to look to know that her arm was still gone.

"Thank the gods," Caelus sighed, nearly in tears himself. He gently pulled Nazmi closer to him, and the nymph was so comforted by the feeling she almost fell unconscious again. "W-We got here in time…"

Nazmi blinked a few times, very slowly, in order to clear the moisture from her eyes. She looked around, but didn't see Aero or Samir anywhere.

She turned her concerned gaze back to her trusted companion, "…Where?"

"They'll be b-back soon," Caelus whispered quietly. "S-Samir wanted to get-get some of the Grimoires b-before we left. Aero went with him."
