章 40: Another Creeper in the Night

In the eastern palace, Crow moved about stealthily. Around every corner, a wick or a torch was lit, highlighting his shadow and making his quiet observations more difficult than a bull maneuvering in a porcelain shop. 

After today's events the palace was on full alert and suspicions were higher than a month ago when His Highness fell ill.

Seeing as how there were guards stationed everywhere, Crow lamented as he had to resort into scaling the side of the building just to reach the third floor where the Prince was located.

His abilities to climb up so quickly were impressive.

At the top, he perched upon the ledge and watched the scene inside the window.

Kavesh and Netter were on guard in the room tonight rather than their usual place outside. The second prince had returned earlier and neither believed he wouldn't try to sneak into the Prince's bedroom like last time.
