"Mrs. Johnson, something terrible has happened!"

From the phone came the servant's panicked voice, "Miss Moore is missing!"

"What?!"

Mrs. Johnson's voice suddenly grew loud, then, as if thinking of something, she covered the receiver and asked in a lowered voice, "What exactly happened? Explain to me clearly!"

The person on the other end of the phone sobbed and choked, hardly able to speak coherently. Mrs. Johnson began to feel a tingling on her scalp at the thought of Tasha Moore's child in her belly. How could she have disappeared? She had personally taken her home just yesterday!

Mrs. Johnson was frantic, so much so that she didn't even have time for breakfast. She hung up the phone in a hurry and drove straight to the villa she had bought for Tasha Moore.

All along the way, her heart was racing. She thought of the servant's sob on the phone, and her heart was in her throat.

She was now afraid something had happened to Tasha.
