章 24: Dragon Spire Academy

"Watch your mouth boy! Who do you think you are calling a thing? Do you have a death wish? This great one is called Ava, you shall address one as such." Said the griffin that was standing proudly before Renji.
"You don't have to be hostile towards the little boy Ava, he is a very sweet boy. He is a little afraid because he must have never seen such a great griffin like you." Said Clara with a slight smile on her face. Renji was still hiding behind her so she slowly brought him towards the griffin.
"Oh, so that was it, you should have told one about him earlier. Boy, there is nothing to be afraid of Ava, Ava is very powerful and generous as long as you don't make Ava angry. I heard you want to go to visit your family from the old bastard, let's get going I have many other businesses to attend to. I can't just waste my precious time just for you." Said Ava the griffin pridefully as if no one could match her brilliance.
"How perfectly said Ava, you are such a generous individual. I can't even fathom such brilliance." Said Clara, she was smiling ominously as she said that. Renji immediately understood what was going on between these two.
'For such a powerful individual you are so easy to please.' Clara thought as she looked at the griffin who was raising its beak towards the sky as if there was no one better than her under the heaven.
"Alright little one, get on one's back let's go to your family." Said Ava as she lowered herself to the ground to make it easier for Renji to climb onto her back.
"uggghhhh…. huh" Renji tried to climb onto the griffin but he was having a hard time suddenly he felt like someone was pulling him upwards, so he looked back to see who it was but to his surprise, there was no one.
"heheheh… bye bye sweet pie if you miss me just let the director know and I'll send Ava to pick you up immediately." Said Clara as she waved towards Renji, although he seemed surprised she didn't explain anything to him this time.
"Bye." Said Renji as he back to Clara, he thought that Clara used magic to help him. He didn't ask any further questions as he didn't think it was necessary.
"Alright honey, I'll be back in a few hours. Please make me some lunch before I come back, I am still so hungry. Bye bye" said David as he also got onto the griffin's back. He was hoping to hear some sweet words from his wife finally but what he got as a reply made him speechless.
"Of course Darling, you don't need to come back home after all you will be left for starvation even if you come back." Said Clara while smiling, she looked menacingly towards her husband even after all this time. David was left dumbfounded as he looked at his loving wife, he was left speechless, all he could think about was how to make up to his wife but there was nothing that came to his mind.

The griffin screeched once again like the last time when she landed and started swinging its wings to make itself fly in the air. Renji who had never experienced such a situation in his life was starting to get scared, he grabbed the griffin's fur as if he would lose his life any second if let go of the griffin.
"Alright tata sweet Pie has a nice trip and David makes sure to stabilize the boy." Shouted Clara as the griffin was already up in the sky. David was in a trance as he was contemplating his life choices, he was suddenly woken up by what Clara said.
"Of course, darling." Said David as he waved his hands last time. That was when Renji suddenly felt comfortable sitting on the griffin's back. Renji felt as if he was just sitting on a chair on the ground there was no wind that pushed him backward, he felt surreal.
"Little runt, do you like traveling like this now?" asked David as he smirked, but he didn't get any reply to his surprise. Renji was just busy looking at the scenery that he was around him he had never seen the Grove of Grudges from this high up.
'This is so beautiful.' thought Renji as he was looking at the sight, he was seeing below him, the forest didn't seem like something anybody should be afraid of from high up. The forest seemed so peaceful as if there were no man-eating monsters on the ground. Seeing Renji enjoying the view, he didn't bother Renji anymore as he sat silently.

"WHOOOUUU… What is that place?" asked Renji as he was mesmerized by the view that he was seeing in front of him. There was a huge castle in the far distance, the castle was so big that even though they couldn't see the entirety of it because of the distance Renji could only see the four towering structures. As they began to come closer to the towers Renji realized that the towers were 3 times the height at which they were flying.
"You have never seen buildings this big before? HAHAHAHAH let me show you the brilliance of the academy that is one of the most prestigious in our world. This is the Dragon Spire Academy that towers upon such a height that there are only a few academies that can match its brilliance.
If this is the first time you are visiting Dragon Spire Academy, I shall show you the brilliance it holds to its entirety. Ava help me show this brat all of the amazing places this place holds starting from the top." David said as he tapped Ava's back, he seemed excited as he looked at a dumbfounded expression on Renji's face.
"HUHUHU…. Of course, if you think this is amazing you should visit our animal kingdom sometime, I'll show you some places that you should be really amazed about brat. This is just a speck of dust compared to my hometown." Proclaimed the proud Ava, David didn't retort to anything that Ava said and just nodded showing his agreement.
'This is nothing? If I lived my whole life inside of the wasteland, I would have never been able to see such a grand place in my entire life.' Thought Renji as he looked at the scenery around the towers, there were countless high-rising buildings and structures everything was just mesmerizing.
"Wow wow wow…." Renji murmured as Ava started flying toward the sky, she was showing no sign of stopping. He felt relief only after David grabbed his shoulders and looked at him as if he was saying there was nothing to worry about.
"Look what do you think about this place now? Isn't it small like an ant?" After flying high above the sky Ava stopped midair and asked Renji.
"ye…yes" said Renji hesitantly as he looked down towards the ground, the towers that seemed as if they reached above the sky suddenly seemed so small. Renji was silent for a while and just looked at the scene down below with a smile on his face.
