章 235: An Invitation

Eve held the letter in her hands. She knew it was something important or Damien would not have left her alone. But she still did not have the mind to read it. Her heart felt heavy. It has taken so much strength to confess her sin. But now that he had left, she was not sure if she could do it again.

"Your grace, shall I bring something lighter?" The maid looked at her with a worried face when Eve remembered she had stained her clothes.

"No, help me in changing clothes first." 

When Damien returned, Eve had already changed into her nightgown. She was having light pumpkin soup he had ordered just for precaution. He knew that she did not like bland food. She enjoys red wine and spicy seafood more. Since she was looking depressed he had ordered a lot of seafood but she had not touched any of it.
