章 43: Chapter 41

"Where did you take me?" Zach said as he crumpled the blanket he bumped into.

He knew that's not how his blanket feels like. It was supposed be softer and warmer because it was a customized magic item given by his late father.

Besides, his bed was supposed to smell like milk and lavender, not musky and woody. 

"Zach, I did not take you anywhere. I'm not your enemy, so you don't have to back away."

"Then where is this place? Why is it so dark?" Zach said as he frowned.

A sense of delight emerged within Sonia as she stared at his face, but it dissipated within seconds. He looked cute with that frown, but she does not want to see that expression on his face because of sadness or confusion. If he was just sulking, it would've been fine.

"Zach, you're in a dream," she said.

He blinked as he sat with crossed legs. Then he placed his tiny hands on top of his knees that were covered by his dress-like shirt.

"Then is this a nightmare?"
