"Then tutor me," Sky boldly said.
"And why would I do that?" Mason asked. Sky was slightly puzzled by his answer. He didn't expect it.
"Why can't you?" He asked after a while.
"Tutoring you is no different than helping you cheat," Mason said.
"How is that cheating?"
"You won't understand even if I say it," Mason said.
"Say it so that I can understand,"
"If you want to be my desk mate learn to zip your mouth," Mason replied arrogantly.
"Why are you always like this? Acting so high and mighty, being cold and arrogant," Sky said.
"This is who I am, if you can't tolerate it then go back to your seat," Mason replied as he took his earphones.
Sky couldn't help but feel a little bit hurt by his words. Why was he hurt? He asked himself. It was a new feeling for him. As he thought about it, he came up with a conclusion maybe it was because he was used to getting loved by others so seeing Mason harsh and rude it bothered him slightly. Thinking of that, made him quite relieved.
Deep down, Mason knew he was too harsh but that was the only way for him. If he wanted to protect his heart and himself, he had to be ruthless, heartless, and arrogant but despite that, he couldn't help but soften from time to time.
After class, Mason carried his bag and then walked out, he didn't even spare a glance at Sky.
"Mason, where are you going?" Miles ran after him.
"To the gym," Mason said.
"Are you going to vent your anger?" He asked. Each time Mason went to the gym was for one main reason. To vent his anger it was one way of punishing himself.
"Mmmh,"
"Did you treat him harshly?" Miles asked. He knew Mason better than how Mason knew himself.
"I guess so," Mason said.
"If you feel guilty, why don't you try and be nice to him? It's not like he will notice it just take it as a duty," Miles suggested.
"You can't keep following him all your life you know that, if you continue to dilly dally you might end up regretting it, I think that it's time you confess Sky might be falling in love with you,"
"How so?" He stopped in his tracks.
"It's obvious, he came to sit next to you, it shows that he wants to be close to you,"
For a minute, Mason almost fell for Miles's words. He recalled the art incident wasn't it because of Miles' false hope and alarm? He couldn't trust his words anymore. He thought.
"You are noisy, be quiet," he said as he got into the car.
"Wait for me, I'll go with you,"
"No need, just go home don't be a bother," Mason glanced at him fiercely.
Each time Miles followed him to the gym, he would insist on exercising and then ended up fainting after exhausting his energy. Or he would get into an argument with others and end up being kicked out of the gym so he would follow him.
But this time, he wouldn't repeat the same mistake.
"But, can't you at least give me a drive? My driver is busy today," he pleaded.
"I won't fall for that Miles, you have already used that excuse thrice, do you know how many gym clubs we have been kicked from? Just because of your cheeky behavior,"
They were already banned from more than ten clubs but still, that wasn't enough for Miles.
"Aaah, forget it let's just go home," Mason sighed in defeat. He was already troubled enough and now he had to cope up with this?
"Let's go for dinner first, I'm hungry,"
"You are already overweight you should stop eating,"
"What do you mean overweight Mason?" Miles pouted angrily.
"Look at your chubby cheeks, all you do is eat,"
"That's because it's the only thing that I do without making any effort,"
"So troublesome," Mason glared at him.
As soon as they arrived at the café, Mason ordered his usual coffee while Miles ordered drinks and snacks for himself.
"Isn't it too much for a sixteen-year-old to drink that much coffee?" Miles asked.
"No, it's my first cup today,"
"Oooh, right I didn't buy you coffee today, I'll get you one tomorrow,"
"No need to get me anymore, just focus on your exams,"
"It's okay, it's not troublesome,"
These were the things Miles was used to taking care of. Buying Mason coffee, he knew Mason hated crowded areas so this was the least thing he could do for him.
"Then thank you for the trouble," Mason replied.
"Did you just thank me?"
"Finish your drink or else I will leave you here,"
"Yes boss," Miles chuckled.
"So what do you plan on doing with Sky? Will you let him sit next to you?"
"Mmmh, if I can tolerate you, I can tolerate anyone,"
"What do you mean by tolerate me?"
"Is there anyone more troublesome and annoying than you?" Mason asked.
"You are right," Miles agreed.
"Let's go, I'm tired," he stood up and then got ready to leave.

"How is it? Is he finally giving in?" Sky's friends rushed to him after Mason had gone.
"I don't know guys," Sky replied.
"What do you mean you don't know? You are Pharell Sky Williams the dream guy of every lady, what's so hard about making that nerd fall in love with you?" One of his friends said.
"I don't think, he will maybe I should back out and think of something else," Sky said reluctantly.
"I've never seen you back out of anything, I have an idea," one of the friends said with a cunning smile.
"What is it?" Sky asked.
"It's a secret, just wait and see," he said.
"Wait, tell me about it I want to know, does it involve me?" Sky yelled at his two friends who had already left.
