章 33: Medicine

Jun woke up to find Hana sitting on a soft chair beside the bed, engrossed in something on her device. She didn't seem fully focused, her gaze drifting as if looking at something unseen. He watched her for a while before Hana realized he was awake. She put down the device and poured him a cup of warm water.

"Here, have some warm water first." She checked his forehead with one hand while handing him the cup with the other.

Jun took a few sips to moisten his throat and then spoke, "I feel much better now." He noticed it was already afternoon and asked with concern, "Have you had lunch?"

"I did, and also cooked some soup for you. Are you hungry now? Would you like some?" Hana spoke calmly, "Here, let me take your temperature again."

His fever had subsided a bit but was still a low-grade fever. She put away the thermometer, got up to serve the soup with some appetizing side dishes, and placed them in front of Jun.
