John's arms were tied behind his back as he sat in the chair, the ropes biting into his skin.

Elijah stood in front of him, staring down at him with a smug grin.

"Well, John, do you want to tell me why you're here?"

"I already told you, I came here to talk about an alliance between the different factions," John said as he rubbed his finger across the ropes. He could tell they weren't ordinary ropes. He was certain they were made with help from the system.

Elijah laughed and shook his head.

"I don't believe that for a second. There's no way you'd come all the way here just to talk about an alliance. You must want something else. So, tell me, what do you really want?"

John sighed. He was getting tired of this back and forth.

"I already told you, I want to form an alliance between the different factions. That's all."

Elijah narrowed his eyes and tilted his head slightly as he studied John's face.
