Allen sighed as he recalled the events so far.
It was easy to misinterpret Wednesday's intentions, so to understand her, we must gather all the information piece by piece.
Allen founded a powerful magical family, but ultimately he was an outsider amid a magical world that never trusted him. Their distrust in Allen only grew as the power and wealth of the Walker family increased, reaching a point where Allen found himself entangled in a trial that could have sent him to Azkaban.
With that in mind, we have the most complicated situation possible for Allen. His options were to force his victory among many magical families who wanted him dead or escape and become a dark wizard.
He didn't desire the latter because it would take away the opportunity to be near Harry Potter and consequently lose the main source of fragments. I mean, he could use another method, but if he forces it, he could ruin the entire canon, leaving him without fragments.
So Allen let the trial proceed despite the irregularities and obvious corruption.
Everyone knew it was an unjust trial without apparent reason.
"Heroes are loved in times of war but hated in times of peace."
That phrase says a lot it says everything.
There's Albus Dumbledore, so Allen Walker isn't necessary.
Knowing this, Wednesday made her move.
She had three paths. The first was simply to send everyone to hell and dominate the magical world by force. With Allen's power, no, only with the power of the doll girls the magical world could be perfectly managed by them, but there was a problem, and that was Allen.
He wasn't a good person; he never has been, but he's not a bad person either. There are many kind, good, and innocent people in the Ministry, and Allen would have to aim his sword at them for the first plan to work.
Wednesday believed that this was not going to happen and without Allen's support, Artoria and Rebecca wouldn't help her.
The second plan was simpler but crueler, given that Allen Walker wasn't necessary due to the existence of the most powerful wizard.
Eliminating the most powerful wizard would leave a gap, just like with Satoru Gojo in JJK. Allen could take Albus Dumbledore's place, and even with the dissatisfaction of all the families, they would accept it.
That's even worse; Allen doesn't trust Albus Dumbledore and doesn't believe the old man is a good person, but regardless of everything, Allen wouldn't accept being killed just for their convenience.
This left Wednesday with the last plan.
"Heroes are idolized in dark times but criminals in times of peace."
Wednesday knew they needed a villain, a monster, a threat for the magical world to accept Allen.
So no one would wonder where they came from.
So no one would worry about Allen breaking the law from time to time.
So no one would worry about the Walker family's dark business.
So the Ministry would stop bothering Allen.
Wednesday needed a new Dark Lord or to revive the previous one, but helping Voldemort was unpleasant just to think about it.
"I will be the new Dark Lord," Wednesday said firmly. This plan didn't require sacrifices, and she could talk to Allen about it.
"Wait..."
At that moment, Makima approached with a different opinion.
"War is based on deception."
Makima took a phrase from The Art of War, and when the demon who deceived her entire world tells you that, it carries a lot of weight.
Makima continued, "For this plan of yours, we need two conditions that must be met to the letter." Makima smiled faintly. "First, Allen must not find out about this."
"Why?!" Wednesday interrupted and surrounded Makima with sharp knives made of shadow.
Wednesday didn't trust her because, like Allen, she knew that Makima had not an ounce of loyalty towards Allen. If Makima had any other option, she would have already betrayed him.
Makima wasn't surprised by this reaction; she remained impassive and unaffected by the threat.
"Allen might be the best actor in the world, but we're talking about him having to deceive an entire community of wizards and witches with decades of life experience." Makima's eyes flashed. "You don't think a bit of acting will fool the old wizard who can use the ancient Dark Lord as a tool to test the scarred boy, do you?"
Wednesday frowned. Everything Makima had said was real...
The only way to ensure that all of Allen's reactions would be sincere is that at the moment she declares herself the new Dark Lord, Allen does not know what is going on.
Makima smiled as if she enjoyed what she was about to say, "That brings me to the second point..."
"What?"
Wednesday raised her suspicions again. Makima stared at her, and she looked away.
Wednesday Addams was smart. She knew the second point was something very unpleasant, but she would have to do it.
Makima's tempting but deadly lips parted, releasing the words no one wanted to hear.
"You must kill Allen..."
Wednesday froze as her face lost color, but soon she recovered. This surprised Makima.
"Oh? It seems I underestimated you, Mrs. Walker. You had already thought of the same thing."
The magical pair of monsters, the sun and the moon, the lady in black and the knight in white... Mr. and Mrs. Walker.
The relationship between Allen and Wednesday had been the cornerstone of their story in this world. The woman who captured Allen Walker was the only one capable of sharing his ring.
Their love was the main bond of the Walkers before the birth of the supposed "son" who was later revealed to have been born before the Walker family was established but was kept hidden from everyone.
How could anyone in their right mind believe that Allen Walker didn't know his wife was evil?!
How could anyone believe that Allen Walker had nothing to do with his wife's actions?!
How could anyone trust Allen when his wife is the Dark Lord?!
How could Dumbledore trust Allen when his wife is the villain?!
Wednesday understood; the only way she could turn to the "dark side" without harming Allen was to break their marriage.
Makima put her hand on Wednesday's shoulder. "You must break this marriage in the crudest, coldest, most tragic, and cruelest way possible."
The Killing Curse "Avada Kedavra" has been characterized since ancient times as a spell only used for killing, and it did so very well, as Dumbledore himself confirmed.
Survive it? Impossible! Or so the wizards and witches would have said until Harry Potter existed. However, if it were so easy to survive the Killing Curse, everyone would be Harry Potter.
Wednesday was hesitating; she had been like this from the beginning until the last moment. That's why she looked so sad before doing it; even behind Makima's back, she proposed the alternative plan to Allen, knowing he wouldn't accept it.
Makima, Esdeath, and even Wednesday wouldn't lose sleep if they had to conquer the magical world for their benefit or even if they had to kill Dumbledore. But Allen wouldn't accept it; there's no need to confirm it. Not long ago, Allen was about to become a ruthless character in Marvel Zombies, but he was stopped because everyone knew that an inhumane Allen wasn't Allen.
That's why Wednesday decided to go down a path where the only ones who would suffer would be Allen and her, perhaps the other girls too, but they would understand what she had done.
Wednesday looked into Allen's eyes, his warmth, his affection, and her heart broke because she was about to hurt him. Of course, she knew that an attack like this wouldn't kill him, and if there were any wounds, they would be minimal, but the implication of pointing a weapon at a loved one was painful, and it was for all of that.
That the scene looked so raw and so real...
No one doubted Wednesday's betrayal, not even Dumbledore, how could they? Wednesday Walker used the Avada Kedavra against Allen!!
There were no doubts...
Everything went perfectly... almost...
As mentioned, Wednesday and Makima planned this; perhaps there would have been a better way, perhaps the plan wasn't perfect, but it worked.
They had to lie to Esdeath; she agreed with everything except attacking Allen.
They had to hide this from Artoria and Rebecca. No matter how good the plan was seen objectively, even Artoria would have applauded it, but involving Allen and scheming against him behind his back would have been so unacceptable that Artoria would have attacked them right then and there.
Artoria was so upset that she didn't hesitate to attack with murderous intent; if Esdeath had died, Artoria wouldn't have regretted it.
Both women loved Allen in their own way, one willing to be his shield to the death, the other willing to point her sword at her heart for him.
Different ideals... They are all dolls, but each woman has different thoughts, morals, and paths.
...
Since that day two years ago, Wednesday hasn't contacted Allen.
Allen almost immediately understood Wednesday, Makima, and Esdeath's actions, and he doesn't blame them. In fact, after a while, he wanted to congratulate them, but none of them had contacted him.
In Wednesday's case, it's easy to understand that she feels bad and out of shame doesn't want to contact him. Esdeath has problems; she doesn't know what to do or how she should proceed. As for Makima, she simply doesn't do it out of camaraderie. She was the mastermind, so it would be unfair if she contacted Allen without Wednesday and Esdeath having repaired their relationship with him.
...
Allen sighed, "Problems with women," his life could be summed up with that as a title.
Allen, for his part, had one complaint about everything that happened, and that was that they didn't ask him.
At the time Allen rejected Wednesday's plan, but if they had discussed it together and approached it in a better way, he might have changed his mind.
The Allen Walker of chapter one, the Allen who had just obtained the system, would have set aside the option of controlling the magical world. But after experiencing everything he had experienced, Allen would give it a second thought.
Of course, he understands why they didn't tell him anything, but he's frustrated because all of this could have been avoided if there hadn't been a serious lack of communication.
Minerva felt that Allen had lost his spirit and blamed herself for perhaps reminding him of bad memories.
"I'm sorry, forget what I said," Minerva said, her cheeks red with embarrassment and discomfort.
Minerva decided to cheer up Allen, and after finishing the bath, she took him to the Honeydukes candy shop in Hogsmeade.
Allen saw the good number of wizards, witches, and students in Hogsmeade.
"Professor McGonagall?!" a fifth-year student looked at the professor with surprise, and she smiled in response and waved kindly. Minerva is one of the most beloved professors by the students, and it's easy to tell from the reactions of all the students.
It's not surprising; she has a mindset that everyone makes mistakes, and no one should be condemned for one or two mistakes. Unlike Snape, who punishes even the slightest mistake. But Snape is not to be condemned, though, Minerva has a strict side, while Snape has a pleasant side.
If you prove to Snape that you have the capacity, ability, and intelligence, he won't treat you badly, and if you demonstrate that even if you break the rules, it's for a good reason like helping someone else, Minerva won't be strict.
...
Allen was not very interested in going to Honeyduke candy shop, but he was intrigued by another shop, Zonko's Joke Shop. It's known for selling a variety of funny items and magical pranks that appeal to both Hogwarts students and village visitors.
Allen wondered, with the reputation given to them by the Weasley brothers, he didn't understand why no one gave them trouble. Allen wished he could start a stream so that Gwen or someone in the Chat could tell him, but he wasn't in the mood.
Minerva smiled at seeing Allen interested in this shop and took him inside.
Allen entered the famous shop, and the first thing he saw was fireworks exploding on the ceiling and a magical train flying everywhere. Although Allen had already been to Hogsmeade since his first entry to Hogwarts, he hadn't visited this shop.
Seeing the amount of nonsense ready for sale, he regretted not coming sooner, this place was a treasure trove for children and even many adults.
Allen decided to buy a bunch of these things and give them away to his viewers.
...
Unfortunately, the trip to Hogsmeade was not destined to be uneventful.
There was a terrible coincidence because right at the Three Broomsticks, Snape and Quirrell were together. Since Quirrell was unlucky in infiltrating, they were now discussing what to do next.
Snape looked at the man in front of him seriously, not a single emotion or doubt escaping from Snape's expressionless face, of course, that would be of no use against Voldemort.
Allen and Voldemort were a short distance away...
Allen smiled, and Voldemort narrowed his eyes; it was as if both felt the other's presence nearby.
