Ch.8: Departure
The moment Fu Xuan felt the sudden presence behind him, he instinctively prepared for a confrontation. His senses heightened by a few degrees.
The world around him, seemed to slow down, and every rustle of leaves, and even gust of wind became noticeable.
He had become fast, but the opponent was faster.
When he turned around, he could see the figure of a person like a crimson blur, suddenly appearing before him.
In an instant he was swept off the ground by an overwhelming force, and before he could register exactly what was happening, he was enveloped in a tight embrace.
"Caught you!" Said the figure and by her voice Fu Xuan seem to have recognized her.
"Fu Yue?"
Said Fu Xuan in exasperation, retuning the sharp metal crystal he had pointed behind her back in his inventory (small world).
"What, you aren't happy to see me?" Said Fu Yue her eyes glowing for a moment there.
"What? No, I am happy! It's just that your way of greeting is just that… special."
"Hmm, I just wanted to surprise you."
"Like this?" pointing at the broken door, windows and the state of the room which screams that a storm had just occurred.
"Whatever small stuff." Said Fu Yue not minding the state surroundings at all.
Though she said that she was genuinely surprised by his response to her strike.
When she first appeared, she came to meet him, but after seeing him being able to react in a split second made her curious.
Due to her curiosity, she tried a few tricks on him, like throwing those darts made of rubber like material and all.
She was shocked to see him dodge those things which even rank 35 spirit elder could not react to.
And even felt happy about him being talented enough.
After knowing her beloved little brother was one of the 5 reincarnaters she was worried about him. The villains they had to face in missions were just that sinister.
Being the chat group's admin, and according to her 1st wish, she knows many things which even the god's who reincarnated them doesn't know.
As she too didn't want her lovely little brother to be left behind as her speed of growth (is already fast by douluo world's standard) would continue to increase in future.
"What martial spirits did you awaken?" Fu Yue asked with a curious glint in her eyes.
Coming here all the way from the Star Luo Forest, many people had told and congratulated that her brother has awakened twin martial spirits with innate full soul power similar to her.
She had heard it so many times now, if she couldn't see what it was, she won't be able to sit still.
Watching Fu Yue's glowing red eyes, Fu Xuan heaved a sigh as summoned both of his martial spirits.
And the majestic runes glowing with blazing crimson and glittering silvery purple appeared on his hand reaching till his left chest.
"This one is called Karma Seal; it is a martial spirit with multiple abilities related to energy manipulations and physical attributes."
He raised his left hand and a plant with multiple vines intervened with each other. It had silver veins of glowing light passing through it, with multicolored glitters similar to the stars night sky making it look like a cosmic tree.
'Is it only me or my plant martial spirit has changed a bit too?'
Both of his martial spirits had changed a bit and can be said as still changing, all the abilities and powers which they provided remain same, but their power and efficiency has drastically increased as he can feel.
'Turns out Karma Seal's 'Life Record' affects all martial spirits I possess, maybe there will be other changes I discover later.'
For a second Fu Xuan stopped in daze looking at his martial spirit before continuing to speak.
"This one is called Amethyst Silvervine, it is a plant type martial spirit with properties ranging from poison to healing and can even pass as an attack or defense system."
After saying all that Fu Xuan looked at Fu Yue for her feedback only to see her making an awed expression.
"How beautiful!"
Well, that's how she is, easily attracted to beautiful things.

Later at night after getting Fu Yue to leave me alone for some time, now I am finding a suitable spiritual cultivation technique from the collection I have received.
And I found 3 books which I found to be strongest.
First one is the one of the Dark Nine Heavenly court's Leader. It is called 'vortex of spiritual serpent mind art' which has the requirement of having the void serpent bloodline.
'Obviously unusable.'
Second is called 'Fire-Yin Spiritual peril purification art' which can be cultivated by someone having an extreme Yin physique.
'Still useless.'
If it was Yin-Yang physique requirement maybe I could have barely qualified for it but can't do for this one.
Now onto the last one.
'Hope this one is good, as all other techniques are average.'
Third one is called, 'Spiritual art of Cosmic Tree Cultivation'. It has the requirement of one having a plant type physique and talent in space-time attribute.
One of the hardest requirements to be met. Afterall how can such a mismatch ever exist?
Having a plant-type physique whose fort is in medicine and physical attributes, why in the world would it have space-time attribute talent which is even rare to find in a person with void beast bloodline.
'But I have it! I have space-time talent and my martial spirit provides me with Life attribute which can pass as having a plant-type physique.'
I didn't bother to think much and picked the 'Spiritual Art of Comic Tree Creation' spiritual cultivation technique.
Sitting in a meditative pose I started to cultivate as directed in the scripture.
It has total of 12 stages.
At first stage, the spiritual energy is concentrated at one point and made into a core of sort.
The core which will then transform into a seed from which the Cosmic Tree of Creation will be born.
After practicing this technique for just a couple of hours I was done with the first stage.
'That was really easy. Is this really a top-grade technique or am I being fooled?'
Making the core of spiritual energy didn't take much time.
After following the careful instructions of the scripture, even with the concept of destruction I was able to successfully complete it rather smoothly.
After completing the first stage of cultivation, I could feel the changes it has brought in me.
My control over my spiritual energy and spiritual sea has increased drastically.
I can easily access my spiritual energy outside of my body unlike before which is not normal at all.
After completing the first level of the cultivation technique I began practicing the 2nd stage.
The second stage focuses on transforming the gas like spiritual energy into liquid then solid and ultimately a gel like dense energy which is partially liquid and partially solid.
Just like that while cultivating the second stage of 'Spiritual Art of Comic Tree Cultivation' the day passed.
With the rise of sun, I opened my eyes.
Cultivating the Cosmic Tree cultivation technique makes it so that one does not feel the need to sleep or rest, being mental focused all the time.
Today I am supposed to go to the Spirit Hall, we all know why.
On the way Fu Yue said that she would help me get a spirit ring, but after my reasoning she stopped and just stayed in the corner sulking.
Many persuasions were needed for making her stop sulking.
Mother was very happy that all of us were together again, it was kind of like a family reunion when my sister often doesn't come hope that much.
Father was so happy and was about to throw another celebration party, but with the reasoning of we should spend more time with family 'only' we were able avoid that.
Honestly both of my parents and even sister is a chatterbox. I couldn't quite fit in there as a generation of loner.
'Well, it should be 4 generations of loner after all even Bob and Heavenly demon were loners.'
After all the complications the day of departure came.
"Fu Xuan remember sleep on time, don't waste your time dazing in the air, don't be picky when eating and remember to write letter. Okay?"
"Yes mother, I will!"
"I know my baby, but I have to keep reminding you. Don't waste your time and study well. If you have any problem, remember to inform us."
"Don't worry mother I am with him." Said Fu Yue with a confident smirk.
"That is the part of reason I am worried." Mother said with a sign.
"Mother!"
"Remember baby, don't turn out like your sister, she doesn't even send letters or comes home to meet us."
I turned to Fu Yue for a second then nodding.
"I will keep that in mind."
"Good boy!"
The wholesome aura of out group was very vibrant till father started speaking.
"Eat well and get fat little Xuan, then we father and son both will exercise together." He said with a grin.
'…'
But we all ignored him.
"Okay now have safe travel and write a letter of reaching the spirit city." Mother said wishing us farewell.
With that we got on our way towards the Spirit City,
