"The baby burped!" Severus called the attention of Clephas, who was busy cleaning where the baby would be laid.

Clephas smiled, turning to look at the boy. Since they were asked to look after the child, they couldn't get enough of his cuteness. He finished off with what he was doing, stretching his hands to carry the baby who smiled at him.

"I heard you burped, you're a good boy." Clephas lifted the boy a little before placing him in the crib he arranged. Then he went back to assist Severus in arranging the things used in bathing the child.

Severus paused for a moment, causing Clephas to give him a questioning look. "Anything the matter?" Clephas asked, folding the piece he was holding.

"I've been thinking, I wish the child belonged to Lady Larel," Severus said, voicing his thoughts.
