After killing the Heavenly King of Horror, Yu Long extracted her remaining essence and turned it into an essence sphere. Still, he didn't even touch the essence sphere and threw it into the Kaiju World instead.
He doesn't want to eat that dirty essence.
Yu Long flash-stepped and arrived by Camilla's side.
The young C-Rex was taken aback and retread by a few steps.
"What? Are you afraid of me now, Little Camilla?" Yu Long said to the young C-Rex with a teasing smile.

Camilla roared at Yu Long angrily, not admitting her fear or obviously trembling legs.
"What about you, Tempest?" Yu Long glanced at the green bird.
Tempest shook her head frantically, "No."
"Really?"
"W-Well, I'm a bit afraid."
"Hehe, at least you're honest."
Tempest broke a cold sweat. She really doesn't want to be teased by Yu Long after witnessing what happened to the Heavenly King of Crow and Heavenly King of Horror.
'Horror definitely deserved what's coming after her, but Crow...' Tempest thought solemnly.
'Just what did he see in God Master's heart?'
'AAAAH! I don't know anymore.'
'As long as I'm on God Master's side and do his bidding, my life shouldn't be threatened.'
Yu Long patted Camilla's head and said, "Don't worry. I won't harm you two in any way."

"Let's continue our way to the Dead Star Lake. The others should have waited for us there."
With that, the three continued their journeys. They faced some mutated beasts on the way, but nothing Camilla couldn't beat as she only needed one tail sweep.

They arrived at the Dead Star Lake.

"I know the lake is full of dark water, but this is weird."
"The water shouldn't be that deep."
"All the indicators are off." Yu Long commented at the sight of Dead Star Lake. Like in Burning Venom's memory, the appearance is still the same, but Yu Long could feel a lingering presence now.
On top of that, the lake also gave off a familiar yet unfamiliar ominous sensation in Yu Long's skin.
"Camilla, Tempest, wait here." Yu Long lightly tapped the ground and prepared to approach the lake.
"God Master, be careful!" Tempest said with worry.
Rawr!
Camilla roared worriedly as well. Even her mother told her not to get too close to the lake.
There is a scary thing down there.
"Alright." Yu Long gave them a reassuring look. After that, he vanished with a flicker of lightning.
Several kilometers away, Yu Long landed on the edge of Dead Star Lake and observed the dark water with Kaiju Maker. Yu Long even used his other enhanced senses to sense what was wrong, but something was 'weirdly' dampening his ability for some reason.
It's not a living being, for sure.
But an object.
Yu Long frowned slightly and stretched his hand to the dark water, feeling a substance eating his vitality away. Of course, he quickly suppressed the substance and injected his profound energy inside.
"Huh?"
"A wall?"
Yu Long sensed a spatial wall ten meters deep, which confused him because he didn't sense any spatial disturbance.
He closed his eyes and focused all his power on cracking the spatial wall, prying into the dimension on the other side of the wall.
However, then a pair of demonic black eyes with red sclera stared back at Yu Long.
BOOM!
Yu Long glared at the demonic black eyes and clashed with mental power, causing a spark in the void.
BAM!
Dead Star Lake started bubbling, and a jet stream exploded out.
Yu Long pulled his hand off the water and looked at it solemnly, "That was weird..."
On the back of Yu Long's right hand is a crimson eye mark encased in black flame.
At first, Yu Long thought it was a curse.
But no.
Yu Long could feel incredible power coming from the crimson eye mark, and it actually increased his strength by 10%.
Don't look down on a 10% increase in power. Yu Long's strength is boundless in the eyes of others.
Still, to increase Yu Long's strength by 10%, something is definitely special about it.
Yu Long analyzed the mark with Kaiju Maker but found nothing special about it. "Just what is this mark?"
He tried a few methods to erase the mark, even cutting his hand and growing it back. Still, the crimson eye mark still exists.

Yu Long returned his gaze to the lake and found it calm like before as if the explosion never happened. He stuck his hand in the water and used profound energy to pry deeper into the spatial wall.
"The wall disappeared??"
"What the fu..."
"Did someone play a prank on me?"
"This is getting weirder and weirder." Yu Long rubbed his chin, pondering his next move. After a few minutes, Yu Long did the unthinkable and left some of his Kaiju.
Of course, he did it in a discreet way possible.
He's setting a trap.
'Xaca, Borne, hid yourself well. I want you to wait if there is more reaction in the Dead Star Lake.' Yu Long ordered while turning his back on the lake, returning to Camilla and Tempest's side.
'Understood/Got it!' 2x.
Two voices echoed in Yu Long's head.

Yu Long landed near Camilla and said, "Let's check the Star River. I hope we can catch some Demonic Cores there."
"God Master, are you alright?" Before they could continue, Tempest asked out of worry.
Yu Long waved his hand, "Do I look Injured, Tempest?"
"Don't worry much. The lake might be dangerous for you guys, but it doesn't put much strain on me."
'Well, except for this unknown mark.'
Camilla gazed at Yu Long from top to bottom before nodding her armored head in satisfaction.
They went down the nearest water channel and spotted some mutated by the river, using their profound energy like a line to fish something. The sight looks comical, and Yu Long couldn't help but laugh.
"Haha... They are so funny." Yu Long said honestly.
Imagine seeing a freaking bear using a tree as a fishing rod and fishing on the river. The level of absurdness is not for 'common' eyes to see.
Fortunately, Yu Long has seen a lot of things in this world.
"By the way, Tempest, do you know anything about this mark?" Yu Long showed the Crimson Eye Mark at the green bird.
Tempest hovered beside Yu Long and answered, "I think... I've seen this mark before."
"Where?" Yu Long was intrigued.
"Heavenly King..." Tempest answered unsurely.
"Greed."
"The first-ranked Heavenly King? How did he possess this mark?" Yu Long was confused.
Tempest shook her head gently, "I also don't know. The Heavenly King of Stone challenged the Heavenly King of Greed once, and the latter said only someone with the King's Mark could defeat me..."
"He then showed a small crest on his chest, which exactly looks like the mark on your hand."
Camilla suddenly stopped, roaring at Yu Long.

Yu Long nodded at Tempest and looked ahead, "Hmm, we have arrived at the Star River? But this spot looks desolated."

"This is the spot you stayed on with your mother usually?"
Camilla nodded, searching for something. Her eyes lit up, and she threw an object at Yu Long.
Yu Long stretched his hand and caught a metal rod carved meticulously with runic characters. "It's sky blue and looks made from clear ice crystals."

Camilla roared at Yu Long and pointed at the river, seemingly telling him to fish for her.
"..." Yu Long's mouth twitched.
"Girl, I'm not your servant." He pinched her cheek slightly.
Wuwu~!
Camilla sulked and buried her head in the piles of wood.
Tempest giggled at this scene.
"Fine, fine." Yu Long sighed and jumped off Camilla's back. He walked to the Star River and examined the water first.
It feels like Dead Star Lake, and there is even a connection with the spatial wall underneath, but it is weaker and unstable.
