章 3: CHAPTER 3
Consistent nightmares of a bloodthirsty beast were plaguing her nights, she was beginning to lose weight, getting weaker each day. Her mind drifted back to her parents' betrayal, she couldn't hold back her tears.
"Stand up!" Kratos's voice startled her. She forgot he was in the room with her. She obeyed without hesitation.
"You don't need to cry over the man that tried to kill you". He said cupping her face with his palm. This made her look at him amazed, why did he know what she was thinking?
He buried her nose in her hair, inhaling her sweet scent that calms his nerves. The mysterious creature that was killing his men every night was making him paranoid and angry.
There was a knock on the door. He rolled his eyes in annoyance. "What the fuck now?" He hissed, clearly annoyed by being disturbed.
"There's a wild Rogue on the loose Alpha, he managed to enter the pack house. We have been looking everywhere for it" Hermis, his Omega sputtered in a state of emergency.
"Don't come out" He warned Hera as he dashed out the door leaving Hera worried.
Few minutes later, there was a loud bang on the door.
"Kratos! Is that you?" She called but got no response in return. Thinking she misheard the noise, she tried focusing on her hair.
This time around, she heard a louder bang on the door. Mustering the little courage she had, she walked to the door. Someone might be hurt and need her help.
She opened the door and came face to face with an angry wolf. It looked oddly familiar to her. Before she could register what was happening, the Rogue pounced on her.It swept its sharp claw across her neck leaving a scratch. She cried out in pain.
Struggling to free herself from the ferocious wolf, a black huge wolf ran into the room. It harshly pushed the Rogue off her which made it slam harshly on the wall. Before it could recover from the hit, its neck was snapped by the black wolf.
The wolf shifted back to its human form. Hera's face turned crimson red from blushing seeing Kratos naked. Her eyes bulged out in shock when she saw his member. She quickly turned away, making him smirk at her reaction.
Elias ran towards Kratos, handing over his clothes.
"Get someone to clean this mess" Kratos ordered. He glanced and shot Hera a withering glare. He was angry and scared at the same time. If he hadn't arrived on time, something bad might have happened to her.
She shed a kind smile "You saved me Alpha again, thank you" She smiled sweetly at him. His eyes traveled to her injured neck. This made him pissed.
"I fucking told you to remain indoors. That rogue would have killed you if I didn't arrive on time. You are fucking weak and unwise. Do you want to fucking die?" He snapped at her, making her flinch and whimper. She turned away trying to hold back the tears threatening to fall.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry that I don't have a wolf yet so I couldn't protect myself. I'm sorry for being a burden." she retorted. " I am tired of you constantly telling me what to do" she yelled at him, venting out her anger and frustration. Letting her painful tears fall freely. That was all she should do.
He grabbed her neck in anger. His eyes pitch black as he spoke in fury "Don't you ever speak to me like that. I'll fucking rip out your throat if you speak to me in my tone again."
His tight grip on her injured neck made her groan in pain. "You are hurting me," she cried out.
Seeing the pain on her face, he quickly let go of her.He instantly regretted his action.
"You are forgetting she is sensitive and fragile, you idiot" Helio growled.
He pulled her close to him, his eyes flickered to her injured neck "Let me see." He tilted her neck. "It's just a scratch, you will be fine. I'll take you to the pack doctor"
Claim her Kratos! She is our mate" Helio growled dangerously. He was getting pissed by Kratos's ignorance to see that they found their mate.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP. SHE IS NOT OUR MATE"
He yelled back at Helio. Pissed at his constant whining whenever he is close to her.
"I'll walk you to his office" he ushered her to follow. They walked to Dr. Atlas' office in silence. As they walked side by side, Hera saw the judging look on people's faces. Bowing down to greet their Alpha, only a few returned her smile. Most of the girls gave her murderous stares.
"Go inside and wait for Dr. Atlas. I have a training session with the warriors" With that, he walked away, leaving her heart broken and in need of his attention.
They keep fighting the magnetic pull that keeps pulling them together. They wanted to be in each other's arms so badly but they were both confused about their feelings.
"Why am I so drawn to him? Moon goddess! Help me please". She prayed silently with the hopes of getting answers from the moon goddess but the moon goddess only answers the prayers of those whose fate were designed by her.

Hera stared at her reflection in the mirror. Her eyes looked lifeless due to lack of sleep. The strange things happening to her were inexplicable.
She recognized the Rogue. It was the same one that attacked before. She touched where she was scratched by the Rogue but felt no pain. She quickly removed the Elastoplast fabric plasters and touched the surface, the wound was gone. She was left in complete shock.
"Come here". Kratos's voice startled her. She didn't realize he had entered the room. She quickly covered the area with her hair and walked towards where he sat on the couch.
The sad look on her face made his heart clench.
"You look troubled," He said in concern. He pulled her down to sir on his lap.
"I'm fine" she forced out a smile, trying to look convincing. "See!" She flashed him a toothy smile which made him chuckle.
"She is lying," Helio blurted.
Kratos lays her down on the bed gently. He looked at her and asked, "Do you trust me?"
She was sure of her feelings for him. She knows he won't hurt her. She can't stop herself from yearning for his touch.
"Yes, I trust you" she answered truthfully, staring into his Chestnut brown eyes.
He kissed and nibbled on a spot close to her collarbone. This made her shiver in delight. He left wet kisses on her neck and cleavage making her moan in ecstasy.
"Look deeply into her eyes, Kratos, you will find the ring of Luna. Only an Alpha's mate can have that." Helio interrupted while trying to take full control. Tired of his constant whining and arguments, Kratos let him take control.
He stared intensely into her eyes. She held his gaze and couldn't look away. She was mesmerized by his cold eyes. Her body pleaded for his touch. Letting go of his self-control, Helio planted a soft kiss on her lips. Her body shivered in delight making him smirk. Kratos rolled his eyes in annoyance.
He raised his head as he continued staring intensely into her eyes. She smiled shyly at him and he genuinely returned her smile.
Helio whimpered in disappointment when nothing happened. Without hesitation, he let Kratos take control.
Just when Kratos was about to let go of Hera, he noticed the shiny gold ring-like shape in her pupils. It shined colorfully, enough for him to notice.
MATE! Helio growled while taking full control.
Hera's eyes widened in shock.
