章 23: Gloomy Days Ahead

The past few days had been plain and gloomy, going to work and coming home to do nothing but sleep, just passing the day but not really living it. I tried to ignore the elephant in the room which was in the form of a piece of paper Ryan left the other day.

After the confrontation, I had done my best to push back everything he said, even though some of them were true but I was still hurt that he didn't look for a better way to say it.

What better way could he have used when you're always avoiding the topic?! An inner voice scolded.

I may be everything but never a coward, I reached out and read the writing on the paper, it was an address. Even though I already had an idea of whose address it could be, my heart still jolted. Ryan was right about being afraid of what my mum could say her reason was for leaving. What if she didn't want me? If my own mother didn't want me, who would then want me?
