章 29: Chapter 29: Text Your Ex

Seeley wasn’t sure how long she stayed in the shower, crying chest-heaving sobs, but when her fingers became wrinkled like raisins, she finally stepped out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her waist and her hair up in another.

How could she be so stupid?

Was she really just someone who used people? Was she really that selfish? The two recent men in her life just accused her of using them. That couldn’t be a coincidence, could it?

She needed a drink. Maybe ten. She didn’t care how unhealthy that sounded. She got up and changed into a comfy T-shirt and some old shorts when a knock at her door scared her out of her skin.

Before she could get her heart rate down to ask who it was, a familiar feminine voice came from the other side of the door.

“Seeley, it’s Yas, open up!”
