After witnessing Harrison's coldness and authority firsthand, I abandoned the idea of finding Ruby and quietly nestled in a dark corner, wishing I could hold my breath.

Though I knew Harrison was now the most fearsome Alpha, seeing him assert his dominance in the crowd was a first for me.

He had truly changed. Compared to the young man he was six years ago, he now resembled more of a ruler.

After dealing with those two men, Harrison turned and left, and the crowd began to disperse. I was left in the dark corner, patting my chest as if I had just survived a catastrophe.

What happened tonight exceeded my imagination.

My heartbeat gradually returned to normal, and I began to recall Harrison's warning to the others.

A thought crossed my mind.

Was he doing this to protect me?

Or was it simply because he despised those with dirty intentions?
