Jaylene originally thought that Joseph Thompson would drive straight back to Bay City. Still upset about not lending her money, she lowered the seat and closed her eyes to sleep, ignoring the man driving.

Joseph glanced over at the woman sleeping in the passenger seat and sighed. Wasn't he supposed to be the one who was mad? Why did it seem like her temper was even bigger than his?

It wasn't a short drive from Brook to City G; it took about five to six hours. Leaving at two in the afternoon and taking the highway, Joseph, the entertainment reporter, could make it to City G by seven or eight in the evening.

However, plans never go as smoothly as desired. About three hours after getting onto the highway, traffic slowed down. Half an hour later, the traffic jammed up completely.
