“Are you sure you’re cool with me spending the day with Jackson? I know I came here to spend time with you,” Kat says as she gets ready for her date with Jackson. She looks at me over her shoulder to see my reaction.

“Yes, I’m fine. You go, enjoy the day with a cute boy,” I say with a laugh and then shrug. “Logan texted me this morning anyway and said that he scheduled Daniel to come over today to look at the kitchen.”

“Ah, Daniel’s expertise,” Kat nods in understanding. “Okay, well, if you’re sure…”

“Yes, I’m sure. It’s only your second day here. We still have plenty of time for the two of us to hang out. Plus, I’m not sure when Jackson is leaving, so you should definitely go spend time with him while you are both here,” I reassure her and then give her a thumbs down when she holds up a blouse to wear.
