Nina's POV
The second I heard Peter's words, I swore that I disengaged myself from Henry as fast as I could.
Caught off guard, Henry was pushed away by me abruptly.
I awkwardly avoided Henry's gaze, fidgeting with a strand of hair next to my ear, while he looked back at Peter, maintained a calm expression, and asked, "What's up?"
The cold wind sobered Peter up a bit. He sized us up curiously and narrowed his eyes. "Am I intruding?"
Hello? Couldn't he tell?
I said silently deep down while replying to him with a decent smile on my face, "No. We were just chatting."
Peter scratched his head, shrugged, and suggested, "Then let's go back together."
Peter and Henry walked in front side by side. Face burning, I stared at Henry's tall figure and couldn't help but imagine what he would have done if Peter hadn't come.
