章 167: Chapter 168 Wake Up!

Beth's POV

　　"Thank goodness you are awake!"

　　I opened my eyes with difficulty and saw Peter kneeling beside me. His face was stained with mud, and his hair was tangled like weeds.

　　He held my arm and twisted it as if I were a puppet. Sensing my quizzical look, Peter hastened to explain.

　　"Are you hurt anywhere? There was a white light blocking us from getting to you and Aaron. We had no idea what happened to you!"

　　Aaron!

　　I came back to my senses and struggled to get up.

　　"Slow down. You are very weak already!" Peter wanted to help me and nagged.

　　I pushed Peter away. When he fell, I saw Aaron slowly open his eyes in the middle of the white tree trunk. He looked me in the eye for a few seconds and then slowly raised the corners of his mouth, smiling at me.

　　In an instant, I felt relieved. I took a long breath.

　　I lost my strength and slumped to the ground. "Welcome back, my mate."
