Beth's POV
Henry and Nina were always quarreling, but the atmosphere between them was always weird in an inexplicably sweet and twisted way. No matter how intense the quarrel was, they wouldn't leave each other.
The things Henry did for Nina went way beyond ordinary feelings. I had no intention of stirring a finger in their relationship. While they were arguing hotly, I quietly left the lawn and walked to the palace.
The sudden change made me feel a little relieved. It was still dawn. I walked into the garden to the white tree, where I looked at the withered branches and stroked the trunk with my eyes closed, hoping to find some clue or enlightenment from it.
After a long wait, nothing happened. My mind was still blank. I sat down dejectedly, took the Dark Moon Goddess' diary out of my arms, and read each page over and over again, not letting go of any scratches and blurred writing. Unfortunately, still, nothing came up.
