Beth’s POV
"Hey..."
April’s eyes were wide open, and her voice sounded a bit husky but she did look very brand welcoming.
I, on the other hand, just stood there lost at what to do or how to even introduce myself to her.
April on the other hand seemed friendly, she tried to give me a big smile, but her dry peeling lips restrained her from doing so.
Due to long-time hydrophobia, her lips cracked a little bit whenever she made an ambiguous movement with her lips.
I think it may have hurt her so much because she gasped and cried out in pain, "IT HURTS! It hurts!" She gasped.
I bit my lips and took out a thermos from the cabinet in a great hurry. I poured some water into a glass and handed it over to her, reminding her carefully, "It's hot, so be careful".
April nodded, took the glass and gulped down the water. Then she wiped off the water droplets on the corners of her mouth with the back of her hand.
