"So... What happened to the Saiyans? And why is Raditz just standing here like he belongs?" Korin asked, pointing to Raditz.
"Wait, Raditz?! Didn't you kidnap Gohan?!" Chichi realized, shouting.
"And he's the main reason that Goku died in the first place." Bulma agreed, angrily.
"Don't forget that I led the other Saiyans here in the first place." Raditz reminded everyone, angering most everyone.
"You're not helping your case, boy." Korin told the Saiyan.
"What are you? A talking cat?" Raditz wondered, staring at Korin. He'd never seen an alien that looked so catlike before, so the old martial arts master weirded him out.
"Guys, calm down! Raditz really changed over the past year! He's a better person now." Goku vouched for his brother, having spent the most time with him.
"Yeah, he even took down one of the other Saiyans for us!" Tien agreed, having seen the battle.
"Alright... I believe you. I know the effect that Goku has on his enemies, after all. So, what happened to the other Saiyans, then?" Korin asked.
"We... let them go." Goku said reluctantly, scratching the back of his head. Naturally, he was met with criticism from three sides,
Chichi "You let them go!!!? They're the ones who hurt my babies, and you let them go!!!?"
Bulma "You just let the guys who killed Yamcha... leave?"
And Krillin "Are you nuts!? They're gonna come back, you know!? When they do, they'll be stronger, and we might not be able to fight them off so easily, did you ever think of that!?"
All three "YEAH?!" Agreeing with Krillin's take.
"It was the honorable thing to do. If they come back here, we'll fight them off again." Piccolo told everyone, quieting them all three down. If Piccolo was calling it honorable, than it probably was the right thing to do. Nobody was willing to argue with him.
"I'm not worried about them coming back to Earth, though."
"You're worried about Namek, aren't you?" I pretended to realize. I figured that would eat at Piccolo.
"Namek?" Goku asked, out of the loop.
"Yeah, didn't you know? The green man here's clearly from the planet Namek." Raditz told everyone, shocking them.
"You mean, Piccolo and Kami are aliens?" Roshi realized. Tien nodded.
"They were convinced that I was the only one that they needed in order to use the Dragon Balls once the year was up." Piccolo told everyone.
"But how'd they know that?" Korin asked. It was a well-known fact on Earth that you needed Piccolo and Kami alive in order to use the Dragon Balls, but these newcomers shouldn't have had any way of knowing that. It was their failsafe to keep the Saiyans from becoming immortal had they been too strong to fight directly.
"I've heard tales of the Wishing Orbs of planet Namek, but we all believed that they were just stories..." Raditz trailed off,
"Until you connected Piccolo with the Dragon Balls here on Earth." Bulma realized.
"Exactly. I've been speaking to Kami telepathically, and even though he doesn't remember anything about his home world, he agrees that the idea for the Dragon Balls wasn't an original one. It was his way of bringing a piece of his home to Earth. There are almost certainly Dragon Balls on Namek as well." Piccolo told us all, eliciting a gasp from quite a few people.
"You honestly think that Vegeta's gonna go to the planet Namek to use their dragon balls for himself?" Korin asked.
"Yeah. That sounds like something he'd do." Raditz said. 'Though... I'm not as worried about Vegeta doing that as I am about... Nah, no chance...' He dismissed the idea before it took root. If that happened, they'd all be dead. Nothing could stop that monster.
"If Vegeta gains immortality, nobody's gonna be able to stop him." I reminded everyone, even though I could feel Shay rolling her eyes at me, since nothing'd be stopping me for obliterating Vegeta's soul if he actually did achieve his goal.
"We need to get to Namek to warn my people." Piccolo agreed with me.
"Alright, then. Let's go to Namek!" Goku said.
"All in favor, say Aye!" Krillin joked,
"Aye!" Most of us agreed. Roshi, Gohan, me, Goku, Raditz, Piccolo, Korin, and Tien were all rearing to go. Chichi seemed to be against it, but she didn't outright say no due to our previous conversation. Unfortunately, Bulma had to be the realist here.
"Guys, there's no chance." She declared, "It's possible to get there, maybe, with Shenron's help, but we can't get there before Vegeta, that's for sure."
"What do you mean?" Krillin asked,
"Yeah, what's the problem?" Tien wondered.
"Think about it for a second. For starters, we have no clue where planet Namek even is."
"I do." Shay spoke up, materializing in front of Bulma, probably to freak her out or something.
"It's you!" Raditz recognized her. To be fair, it hadn't been more than two days since the last time he saw her.
"Why! Did! You! Scare! Me! Like! That!" Bulma shouted, kicking the nearest person (Master Roshi) in between punctuations.
"Ow! What did I do?" Roshi protested her treatment of him.
"It was funny. Anyways, Planet Namek's at 9045XY." Shay told Bulma with a straight face. Luckily, she looked like an innocent young girl, making it difficult for Bulma to stay angry at her.
'Did you steal that from my address book?' King Kai wondered telepathically.
"AAH! I'm hearing voices! Please tell me that you guys heard that, too?" Roshi asked, freaking out for a moment when he heard King Kai talking in his head.
"Maybe..." Shay answered King Kai ambiguously.
"Don't worry, Master Roshi. That's just King Kai. King Kai, it's nice to hear your voice." Goku declared.
'It's nice to see that you're all alive and well. Goku, did you really have to use the Kaio-ken times four attack? You really scared me there for a moment.' King Kai asked Goku.
"I was scared that if we kept fighting, I'd end up thrashing my body even worse than a Kaio-ken times four would've, so I figured that I'd bite the bullet." Goku told his teacher.
'Well it was really stupid. Next time, don't do anything that stupid, you could have always leaned back on Raditz, or the Spirit Bomb to stop him.' King Kai sighed in our heads before continuing, 'Anyways, while I have the podium... You guys did a good job. Congratulations.'
"Thanks, King Kai. I know... Maybe I shouldn't have let him go at all, but I felt like it was the right thing to do." Goku said.
"you actually let those Saiyans go?" Roshi said, incredulous.
"It was the right thing to do." Tien told him.
"Wait... Back to what you said. Are you sure that Namek's at 9045 XY?" Bulma asked Shay.
'Let me cross check it for you guys... Nambo... Nambee... Namcvek... Here it is. Planet Namek, 9045XY! Yup, she's right.' King Kai backed Shay's coordinates.
"9045 XY, huh?!" Bulma seemed to freak out a bit, pulling out a calculator and mumbling to herself.
