章 11: Temporary Party
After a month of grinding, I am now proficient in hunting from the 10th to 12th floors. My status increased with the increased difficulty of hunting solo here. Rose reprimands me more than once, I should form a party as it is to dangerous to hunt alone. She is right and I don't go so deep every time, but twice a week.
I want to max out my stats and as I didn't have a feat to 'Level Up', I knew I needed to hunt on the middle floors for both achievements.
Now I needed somebody, who I could trust, to form a party with.
I had only two options.
The Loki members Aiz and Tiona, which are acquaintances at most or the girls of the tavern. I knew Ryuu goes to the 18th floor once a month to visit the graves of her familia members, so I tried to talk to her one morning.
"Miss Lion, can I talk to you for a moment?"
"I need to get groceries, but if you accompany me, I can listen on the way."
"Sure. Thank you.", I reply. She is really cold, but since we worked together at least for some time, she treats me like the others here.
A slightly warmer cold.
So on our way to the market I continue our conversation.
"As far as I am aware you are visiting the Dungeon once a month. I don't want to be intrusive, but could you take to the floor at least once or twice in the following months?"
"Why would you like to visit that deep into the Dungeon?"
"Well to be honest, I already explore up to the 12th floor solo, but I like to increase my stats a little more and I need a feat to upgrade to level 2, but the monsters I the beginner floors aren't a challenge enough, so I would like to go with you to hunt some stronger monsters, if you would let me.", I explain to her.
"Why ask me?"
"Well I know only two groups of people, but I trust you girls from the tavern more and as the others aren't interested in going in the Dungeon anymore, I asked you. But if you don't want to, I can ask some acquaintances, who I met briefly."
"I take it this is only temporary. For two times at most?", she asks.
"Yes. I know I will slow you down, so I would already appreciate if I could go two times with you, as you must have a reason you don't want to team up."
"Alright. I go again I two weeks, so you need to buy salamander wool till then and prepare yourself."
"Thank you, Miss Lion. If you need anything in return in the future, I owe you a favor."
"If you want. It isn't really necessary.", she says.
No way in hell, I wouldn't want to get closer to my favourite character, who went to so much grief in her life.

So two weeks later we make our way down the Dungeon early in the night.
Even though my Agility is a lot slower, I didn't slow her down much in the first 9 floors, as I could handle myself and kill the monsters fairly easy. Even on the following floors, I already visited me made good progress and made our way to the 13th floor in just 4 or 5 hours.
Then I met a new environment with bigger numbers of monsters. We still followed the main path she normally uses and if there were few monsters, she let me handle them or kills a group, but let's one or two alive who were at the side of the group.
The monsters here were Almiraj, Hellhounds or Dungeon Worms.
I had only slight trouble as the speed of the Almiraj was greater than mine, but thanks to the salamander wool, that cost me 75.000 valis and my experience on sneak attacks the other two weren't hard to deal with.
The real trouble followed after we got to the 15th floor.
Ligerfangs and Minotaurs.
Ligerfangs Agility are as high as that of Almiraj but they have greater attack power and the strenght of Minotaurs are enough to break my arms if I should be dumb enough to defend head-on.
But at noon or somewhere around then, we reached the 18th floor as the Goliath was defeated by a famila two weeks ago.
We took two rooms at an inn for a night and after Ryuu leaves me there, she makes her way to the graves.
I use the time to 'Upgrade'.
Then I watch my 'Status' as I have advanced my Abilities in the last one and a half months as well as on this trip.

With our way back and then another month of grinding, I should be close on our next trip. Just a little bit longer till I 'Level Up'.
