章 14: Wife?
Inside a spacious room, a man and a woman were having a conversation.
"The news about Z-Tech Inc's plans is true. The company's growing too fast. We can't let it grow any more than it already is"
The man said as he poured wine into the woman's glass.
"I understand that, but what should we do?" The woman asked as she took a sip.
"I've heard that Z-Tech Inc. is looking for more people to join their board of directors… You will join them and be my eyes and ears"
"Okay, I understand. What if I can't get on the board though?"
"You'll join them and we'll make sure of it!"
"I shall obey, father."
"We'll make them submit to us. We'll make sure of it."
Avery Johnson was very nervous. They're planning on sending her to the lion's den!
The Johnson family is a large, wealthy family in the business world.
They own several companies and their influence spans past Greenhill City to the surrounding cities!
They've been expanding their business rapidly as they've been growing for over a hundred years!
Avery's father, Jean-Luc Johnson, is the CEO of the Johnson Family Business Group.
He's also the current head of the family.
He's a man of power and wealth. He's also very ambitious!
The Johnson family is currently the wealthiest in Greenhill. It could be said that they rule Greenhill City!
The Johnson family has many supporters within the city. They have a strong connection with the mayor and the governor as well as the police force.
The Johnson family has a few enemies due to their success, but the most notable ones are the Yates Family, the Serrano Family, and the O'Connor Family all of whom are families of equal standing from the surrounding cities.
They were all families who had been competing against each other for business opportunities for a long time and were currently at war against each other.
Jean-Luc doesn't know if this new company was a friend or foe and if they were sent by his enemies. No matter what, he didn't want to risk having any variables during such a sensitive time.
"If we don't make sure of it, we'll lose everything. I can't allow that to happen," Jean-Luc said as he poured himself another glass of wine.
"Yes father," Avery said.
It was currently the afternoon and Avery just got home.
"Miss Avery! You're home!" An old female maid said.
"Hello, Aunt Mae!"
"Your mother is waiting for you in her room," Mae said as she grabbed Avery's bag for her.
Avery walked towards the old building where she was born.
The building is over 50 years old but has been refurbished over the years.
The building is designed like a traditional castle. It has several towers and some of the rooms have views overlooking the entire city.
The family is also very big. They own a large number of mansions around the city.
Avery walked through the old building towards the elevator. She rode the elevator to her mother's room on the 3rd floor.
When she arrived at the door, she noticed her mother's assistant standing outside of her mother's room.
"The madam is waiting inside," the assistant said.
"Thank you," Avery said as she opened the door and went inside.
"Hi, Mother."
"Avery! Come over here!"
Avery walked towards her mother, Elizabeth, who was currently bedridden.
Her mother was a beautiful woman in her late thirties. Her hair and eyes are pure black.
The young Avery looked like a mini version of her mother. The two are the most beautiful women in the Johnson family.
"Mother, how are you feeling?" Avery asked.
"I'm doing fine, I just don't feel well when I move too much," Elizabeth said as she hugged her daughter.
"How are things outside? Is your father making you do things you don't want to do?"
"No, nothing of the sort," Avery said.
After she visited with her mother, Avery went to her room. As soon as she closed the door, she immediately went to her bed.
"Sigh, I don't wanna do all of this. I just want to travel the world like my friends do." She complained.
She then took out her phone and read through the latest messages on the group chat with her friends.
After browsing through the messages, she decided to have a relaxing bath and watch TV while she waited for dinner.
// Zeke's Villa //
Zeke did not do much for the rest of the day other than fool around with the girls and call Ava for updates.
Eliza finally came home. She was extremely excited.
"Guess what!" Eliza said.
"What?" Zeke asked as he held her waist and pulled her towards him.
"I've got an internship with a new company! They said they'll provide all the necessary training as well as some other benefits."
"Oh? And what company is that?" Zeke asked after kissing her forehead.
"Z-Tech Inc! They're a new company but they're growing extremely fast! It's under the lead of Miss Ava Rose from the Rose family! I've heard nothing but great things about the company! So excited!" Eliza explained.
Zeke's smile froze. Ain't that his company?
Of course, Eliza doesn't know that the company belongs to Zeke because he's purposely keeping it a secret. If anyone wanted to investigate, they'd only find Ava as the CEO and no information about the true owner.
'Should I tell her? Or should I just let her be?' Zeke didn't know what to do. Left with no choice, he asked Anna.
(Just tell her. What's the point of hiding it? Have her train with Ava. Let her observe and learn. You'll want your woman to be capable if you want to bring her with you to other worlds in the future.)
"Other worlds huh," He muttered.
Zeke ordered dinner to be delivered.
As they were eating, Zeke finally decided to tell her.
"Dear," Zeke said.
"Hmm?" Eliza looked up, her mouth filled with noodles.
Zeke stared at her for a few seconds.
Eliza also stared back at him, her mouth still filled with noodles.
The scene looked comical.
"I own Z-Tech Inc." Zeke said straightforwardly.
Eliza paused, and a lot of noodles fell from her mouth.
She continued to look at him like a fool.
She was completely speechless!
Eliza had no idea what to say at all.
Zeke took out a tissue and wiped Eliza's mouth for her.
Eliza had her mouth open as Zeke wiped her mouth. She felt extremely embarrassed.
"This is all too much. I can't believe you own Z-Tech Inc. Just when will the surprises end?" Eliza's mind was in a daze. She wholeheartedly believed Zeke because he would never lie to her.
She continued looking at Zeke.
"You really are incredible, Zeke," Eliza said as she stared at Zeke's face.
She has already experienced his love and passion but seeing his wealth grow makes her even more surprised!
"Just when will my eyes be opened? You're way too amazing! I could never understand why you would choose me of all people! After all, I no longer have my status." Eliza said.
Eliza stared at Zeke who looked a bit stunned by her words.
Zeke didn't reply and simply held her hand and kissed it.
"You really have nothing to worry about, my dear wife," Zeke said.
"W-Wife?" Eliza's heart was beating rapidly.
The way he said 'wife' with such strong feelings left Eliza flushed.
"The moment I met you, you already had my heart. I never cared about your status as the daughter of the White Family. I only saw you. You already have all of me and all of my heart. That will never change no matter what happens! That's why I want you to trust me. I swear that I will protect and cherish you for the rest of my life."
Eliza's heart was so filled with love for her Zeke that it threatened to overflow!
Eliza then felt an unexplainable force as she floated and landed on his lap.
"Ah!" Eliza was caught off guard.
"Your mind and body are mine! Remember that! I will never allow anyone else to have you."
Zeke already knew that Eliza knew of his abilities. After all, Athena was watching her all the time so he didn't bother hiding it anymore.
Zeke caressed Eliza's cheek as he spoke.
Eliza felt goosebumps on her skin as she stared at his intense gaze.
"Mm..." Eliza moaned as her back leaned onto Zeke.
Her breathing became slightly unsteady as she felt Zeke's grip become tighter.
Eliza's heartbeat and breathing became faster and faster as her body became hotter and hotter!
"Zeke, I-I love you." Eliza could not hide her body's reactions from her man.
He was way too alluring for her to resist.
It felt like she was being taken in by a hypnotizing spell!
"Eliza," Zeke's voice sounded a lot lower now.
His gaze made Eliza want to give him her all this very moment!
"I love you."
Eliza then felt his arms embrace her whole body.
"I love you," Zeke said again.
Her breathing has become even faster!
Her senses have become extremely sensitive as she felt him caressing her body.
Eliza moaned and tried to remove her shirt but failed.
"Let me remove it," Zeke said as he lifted her and took off the rest of her clothes.
The rest of the night, they couldn't help but repeat their moment of pleasure.
"I love you too. I love you more than anything in the world," Eliza said as they lay naked together.
