章 12: A Slave To Bring Freedom
"You want me to kill them?" her mind imagined the scene of her using her powers against the vampires she had met. They were strong, held power. It would not be an easy battle but if she would go all out.. She did not know her own limits.
"No!" The curt snap made the girl frown when Morgan raised a brow, chuckling.
"You are overestimating yourself. You might be stronger than us but a group of us will be enough to handle you. Not to forget they are much more in number than us. Even if you take down their lord, many are there to take his place. We need more, a perfect solution to get rid of them." Bella frowned… her eyes narrowed with thoughts but they sounded impossible in her mind.
"How could I annihilate all of them?" her hands moved to her perfect skin, her pointed chin and pulled it up with some force.
"You do not have to. All you have to do is be the slave of their lord. Serve him and follow him as his shadow. Use your eyes and ears and collect information. Vampires behave like they have no weakness but every living person has one.
As long as you find a way to get rid of them and get an upperhand in the war, we will accept you as our hero." She wanted him to be the slave of a vampire? clenched her teeth, the contents of her stomach rising, bitter and foul and full of the bile since she had not eaten anything for long.
Vampires had two kinds of slaves, blood slaves, that offered them blood anytime and anywhere they needed and pleasure slaves they used to bed. Most of the time they have opposite gender young slaves that serve their both needs.
Though vampires follow monogamy, they have many loves and sex slaves that keep them satiated and they did not take it as cheating or unfaithfulness.
"You want me to sleep with a vampire!" she spat when Morgan's eyes narrowed at her, filling with something dangerous that Bella wanted to cower. She wanted to return to her home and sleep in her bed.
"So dramatic for the woman who came running and accused us that we were doing nothing to save our kind!" Morgan stood up and opened Bella's chains. "We could not hide ourselves even with potions. As you have seen they could sniff us like bloodhounds and kill us.
Humans would not help us! But you, they could not catch you. You could have been our savior but you care more about your purity which… would be claimed by no one." Bella flinched when she felt Morgan's hands on her shoulder blades, then moved low to her breasts and the old woman pressed them making Bella jump at her place.
"That young warlock already has a lover. If you think that he would choose you over them, you are a fool!" The snicker made Bella churn at her seats.
She had never thought Luhan would love her. He was just a friend. But even if she would explain, the woman would only mock and sneer at her.
But… being a slave for the vampire! She would not only lose her right over her body, but her freedom to move, freedom to speech and everything that made her a person, give her an entity would be lost.
She would be no more than a pet animal, an insect on their mercy and she had to accept their every command." but when she would return.. If she found a weakness that helped witches in winning.
"The spy must seduce their ruler. Make him believe she is guileless and sincere. She must make him trust her even as she uses her position to learn his every weakness right up to the moment she betrays him. No one else can be that woman except you."
Her eyes were unblinking as if the thoughts were making a vivid picture in her mind and thought it was full of pain and misery, she could see pride in the eyes of her father, her mother and Ana.. hugging her with sincerity not because she was bound to do that.
Her words still bleeding Bella's head who shivered for a second.
"I am?" Her pulse roared in her ears, her skin clammy despite the heat.
"Yes, you are. So, I will ask you again, will you be our weapon against the vampires?" She heard the knock on the door and Julia entered.
Her silver eyes were full of hostility when she met Bella's but it was filled with respect when she bowed to Morgan.
"Your daughter is a gem, Julia. She could do what we could not. And if she succeeded in her mission, i will offer you my position and Bella, she would be accepted in the high altar as one of the elder witches that will train other warlocks." Julia gasped but this time when she looked at her daughter, her eyes were full of marvel as if she was looking at her for the first time.
"But will she do it?" she asked Morgan, but her eyes did not leave Bella who stiffened but nodded slowly, a bit of hesitation but Julia knew it would go with time.
She smiled at her as though she were the most precious of things. "It's time for my daughter to prove that she is one of us then."
