章 87: A Call

Seraphyne was awakened by a disturbing call late at night. She yawned as she irritatedly reached for her phone. She stared at the caller's name before answering. The moon's light illuminated the room, only for her to realize that she left the door to the balcony open.

"Hmm? What's wrong? Did you miss me?" She whispered, half awake.

"I'm sorry," the person on the other end was her fiance.

"What do you mean by calling this late just to apologize?" Seraphyne felt confused.

"Let's break up..." the man mentioned.

It awakened Seraphyne from her sleepy state.

"Why?" was the only word she could respond.

"Just remember to live well and be happy, Sera." 

The call ended with Seraphyne hearing a gunshot.

The sudden phone call from her fiancé, ending their relationship and seemingly ending his own life, left her bewildered and shocked.
