"This could be troublesome," Elish thought as he regarded his opponent.

The power emanating from this woman felt distinct from anything else he had encountered since his Reincarnation. 

Typically, everything in the world was composed of Essences, and governed by certain Laws, even the Gods. However, the Gods wielded Divine Authority over specific Laws and control their Essence. 

For instance, a certain God, whom Elish had slain, had the Authority of Lightning, and he used his hammer as a conduit, to summon said lightning.

The same principle applied to other gods. 

The Monarchs governed the Primordial Authorities, while Gods held sway over various subcategories of those Authorities. 

This Art seemed to operate similarly.

There was no way an ordinary human could attain such power, and Elish didn't sense it emanating from a relic. That left only one plausible explanation… 

A God had granted her this power.
