As Skyler walked to the car that Ruthlyn had arranged to take her back to Preston TV, she replayed the content of the contracts in her head.

She had to take Shikera to the new home which had been provided by Ethan and pretend it was hers; she had to make sure Shikera's every need was met with, and she was free to inform Miss Stone if it seemed too impossible. She was also told that Ruthlyn would deliver meals to the house every day and she had to wake up as early as she could to get it, and then pretend as if she cooked it for Shikera.

Finally, her main job was to make sure she was awake every midnight to lead Shikera back to bed if she happened to wake up. Even though Skyler had not minded since the benefits attached to this minor chores were astronomical, Ethan had promised that it would all be over in less than two weeks.
