章 34: treat me like a wife

After washing my face and brushing my teeth, I quickly left the room while Kate continued to sleep. I walked through the living room, finding Roger still asleep on the couch, and instantly remembered Kate's anger over him sleeping with her without permission.

'Charlie might be able to control me because I owe him a lot, but he shouldn't act arbitrarily or control Kate as well,' I thought anxiously, then headed towards the stairs because I wanted to approach Charlie in his room.

Upon arriving in the room, I didn't find Charlie on the bed or the couch, so I decided to look for him on the terrace.

Turns out he was there, running on the treadmill, and my attention was drawn to the other sports equipment available there.

"Hey, Baby..." he greeted me immediately and stopped the treadmill.

"I think we should talk," I said nervously, feeling very shy to discuss this because it's about money, like a salary, even though I've never worked here.
