章 344: Find the Missing Squirrel!

Though Phil put up a fit, he quickly laid his head down to sleep. Getting his first true rest ever since Rogue was taken away. 

"... Wakey, wakey… Is the wittle goose still sweepy…?"

Phil shook his head awake the instant he recognized that teasing voice. He pecked out of reflex and flapped into the skies. 

"Whoa, calm down or you'll get dirt in the jerky!" 

Laughing, Rizz covered some of the food jars till Phil grunted and joined them for their preserved breakfast. 

"Shynron sniffed out the trail a bit," Rizz mentioned between bights of a jerky and cheese sandwich. "It's going the same way. So… I'd bet we pass last night's campsite before noon.

"If they camped around where I'm thinking, they'll definitely camp tonight at the spot I'm expecting. So we'll slow down after passing the next campsite and try not to pass them.

"Then, after nightfall, we'll make our move. And you'll get to see your adopted daughter yet again."
