'Wait a moment, who do these maids think I am to George? His…wife?'
Ever since yesterday when Anna woke up, she had not asked herself what George had told his workers about the role she possessed in his life.
Wei Yan was curious about what was on her Madam's mind. Anna looked a bit confused and Wei Yan had a feeling that she could answer Anna's question.
Anna then looked up at Wei Yan abruptly. The look on Anna's face was odd but it was very apparent that Anna was pondering about something she couldn't find an answer to.
Anna raised one of her eyebrows with an askance expression.
Wei Yan smiled, gesturing that she was more than ready to answer Anna's question. However, Anna continued to use her face to display her confusion and Wei Yan played along by making different expressions with her face.
"Who do you think I am to your Master, George?" Anna eventually asked, relieving Wei Yan from making different faces.
Wei Yan replied almost immediately. "Madam, we all believe that you are the Master's soon-to-be wife. He addressed you as 'my woman' but we don't see any ring on your finger so we believe that Master George is still on the mission of taking you as his bride."
Wei Yan explained to her Madam what she and her colleagues think about her. Master George had always addressed Anna as his lady, his woman, and his Anna so they settled on the thought that Anna was his soon-to-be bride.
Most of the maids have no knowledge about Anna's life and her reputation of being a fashion designer before her coma so they couldn't tell her real identity.
Besides all they should focus on was their work and the compensation in the end. However, it was impossible because they were humans, always curious.
Anna stared into space for a while. Why would George address her as his woman?
Did they share that kind of relationship?
Were they even close to each other?
Anna recollected that the previous owner of this body, Anna, was never interested in George. How he was even able to save her was still a mystery to her.
Anna needed to know more about how much George learned. During breakfast in the morning, he mentioned that there was more about Wang Lixin that she did not know about.
And now, on the phone, George mentioned that it wasn't safe for her to go outside. He also stated that he was hiding her so there were still some things Anna didn't know about Wang Lixin.
And perhaps George learned about it but was hiding her because of the knowledge he has about Wang Lixin.
Wei Yan's explanation now rang in Anna's head. "What?" It was at this moment Anna processed everything Wei Yan said about the role she maintained in George's life.
"His woman?" Anna asked, she looked very shocked. Wei Yan rocked her head, wondering why her Madam appeared to be surprised by her explanation.
"So in one word, you all see me as Master George's wife even though we don't have rings on our fingers," Anna's statement sounded like a question but it wasn't.
However, Wei Yan answered as though her Madam asked a question. "Yes, Madam."
Anna looked forward, lost in thoughts again. According to Anna's memory, George wasn't the type to claim her because even when he was always after her, he did not mention having her.
George seemed to be after friendship as if there was something he needed to tell Anna but Anna never gave him the chance because she always pushed him away.
Therefore, it was a bit impossible for George to claim Anna as his woman. However, if George did claim her then there must be a reason for it.
Anna was the kind of person who thinks thoroughly before going into action and making a conclusion.
However, she isn't perfect as there are sometimes when she does things without thinking them through and this happens whenever Anna is triggered enough to let her emotions get the better of her.
Anna, now putting things together, realized that she should play along with George even though she does not trust him yet.
She was alone in this and the only person who showed a sign of trying to help her was George. Anna shouldn't push him away like the original Anna did.
Anna's foolishness and pride led her to her death. She was carefree and less cautious of the people around her.
From the memories Anna acquired from the original host of the body, Anna saw that she was a very foolish person for trusting her stepsister blindly including her stepmother.
They weren't that bewitching and the new Anna could view the lies in their action, affection and love. Perhaps the original Anna was too naive.
But not anymore. Those who caused pain to her father and her, those who tried to steal what her father worked for and dedicated half of his life to and those who played with her heart would pay.
Anna was impatient but she remembered her father's words. 'Good things take time and patience will always bring a positive outcome.' Therefore, Anna needed to meditate and learn to control herself.
The original Anna's rage was overwhelming, causing Anna to be impatient. But Anna needed to apply the patience she had in her previous life.
In her previous life, Anna was discouraged about chasing her dream of being a stuntman. Stuntman is a career meant for men and only men were given the role of a stuntman.
Anna was pushed to give up but her father's words kept her going and in the end, she became more qualified and competent than some men.
Recalling this filled Anna's heart as she was happy, happy to end her life as a great motivation to other people who are being belittled by their position, qualification, ability and standards.
Because it isn't the end until one accepts that it is the end.
And Anna would not accept the end until the end itself comes. She'd fight until justice is served. This was her purpose!
Anna believed that her first step should be about allowing and accepting George into her life.
