章 5: Getting to know my magic
Even though I awakened magic in general, I don't know how to use normal magic, let alone my special magic granted by R.O.B. so I experiment with it.
Because I don't have magic beasts to tame, I thought about getting a pet, but put that thought for after the war. And going in the forest is also a no-go. Maybe Voldys Deathsuckers didn't find an opportunity. But a three-year-old looking for a pet outside the wards. Let him be devoured by a werewolf or sloce him up. No thanks there. So no taming magic till Egghead's fall.
That leaves me with space magic. Although R.O.B. only let me use Inventory and Dimensional Home, I could learn to apparate in the future, so no need for teleportatuon or warp.
So first of all, I try to learn Inventory. Trying is related to a problem, I didn't thought about before.
Learning magic with a sister around you 24/7. It's not that she's clingy, but we don't have the room.
I wake up with her in a room and most of our time is spent in the living room.
Although I tried to return to our room ,when she's in the living room, I don't get more than 10 minutes till she's looking for me. I said she's not clingy, well I didn't see her that way, because till now I haven't tried to have alone time.
2 options till I can get out of the wards:
Firstly I could learn with her together. Following problem: learning magic no one knows,
so out of the window you are suggestion.
My second option is getting dad to extend the attic to a bedroom for either Nymph or me.
Problem: Finding a reason that gets him to do it, without Nymph thinking I hate to live with her in the same room.
Difficult put possible.
There is a sequence of approval to this expansion.
Nymph will cry, even if I try logic with her, so I need mom on my side.
Dad needs to do the work and he needs moms approval.
Now the big question: How do I get her on my side?
But before I come up with a scheme, I try the way every child goes, if it wants something from his mom.
Asking her. Sounds to simple? Maybe, but why doing something unnecessary without trying the most simplistic solution?
So one morning when Nymph is still sleeping I go to the kitchen.
"Morning, mom."
"Good morning, Nici. So hungry couldn't wait to eat your breakfast?"
"That and I have a question, I'd like to ask."
"What is it dear?"
"Remember how dad talked about developing the attic?"
"Yes!?"
"Well I was thinking, if it's okay if he begins? Don'tget me wrong I love sis, but I feel that sometimes I need a little time for myself."
"That's something I didn't think about, because you two are so close. Let me think about it for a day and talk to Ted, okay?"
"Yeah, thanks mom for listening."
"Anytime, dear. Now I think there is breakfast waiting for you."

The next day at breakfast, our parents told us that dad will begin to work at the expansion of the attic, but it will take some time, even with if he uses magic.
Nymph, who first was a little sleepy, listens attentively and even with mom talking to her, there are a few tears, so I'll do my part and give her headpats for a couple of minutes. Always my strongest ace to make her happier.

Around 6 weeks later.
I was thinking of trying nightly magic practice, but then I thought that either Nymph as Metamorphogus could be more sensitive with magic or my parents would feel it, like when I caused a magic vortex when I awakened my magic. So even if the possibilities are marginally, I didn't want to risk it.
Now, after 6 weeks that felt to months to me, I would move to the attic and have my own four walls.
A few days later, when mom got to work and Nymph was still a little sleepy and napped on the couch, this time without her favourite pillow, namely my lap, I got to work in my room.
Finally. Magic practice.
The basic of magic from both systems is imagination.
So while picturing a separate space connected by a door, I chant "Inventory".
It didn't work at the beginning, but I had a feeling something connected.
After roughly 30 seconds the space before me gets dark and a black hole appears with a familiar frame of symbols. I put a shirt from my drawer inside and closed it.
Then I opened it again. This time at double the speed.
I remove my shirt from inside.
Then I began experimenting the next few days.
I chanted it in my head without saying it out loud. Successfully.
I tried only imaging it without chant. No success till now.
I put something warm and cold inside. Temperature kept.
So here is what I learned:
- My space is the size of a big closet (~ 4 m³). I think it will grow with my magic
- It keeps the state of the object from putting it in. Haven't found a limit to the time)
- Needs image and silent chant till now
Then I tried 'Dimensional Home', but maybe because the space is still to small it didn't work.
It's the intermediate spell or better said complete spell of 'Inventory' and it is a separate space like a small world with air and living space for my future beasts.
Yet even though I know how it works, it wouldn't.
Maybe because I couldn't think a small world could exist in such a small space.
So for now I train daily by chanting 'Inventory' around 10 times over a day and I think the space inside is slowly growing.
So goes time by, till dad reads the news that Voldemort is finally dead, just a few weeks before my fourth birthday. Now the whole chaos of the trials await, but there's one I place special attention to.
The trial that didn't exist.

When I say magic systems, I talk about HarryPotterUniverse Magic
and the characters R.O.B-granted magic.
Which, if you didn't figure out till now, is from the novel
"By the Grace of the Gods" by Roy.
I found the novel good and it developed a manga and anime, I belief.
It's about a slow life in another world as an all-rounder with a love for slimes.
