Eve Thompson stood just outside the balcony, hiding in a corner obscured by darkness, eavesdropping on a conversation between two people.

The balcony's glass door was ajar. The cold outdoor wind swept in, bringing with it the conversation from within.

Upon hearing Claire Bowen's voice, Flynn Darcy turned around. He raised his red wine glass to Claire as a greeting but maintained a distant demeanor.

Claire chuckled, "Flynn, back in school, you were the most legendary computer talent we had. You were even invited by a hero Doctor, and you declined only preferring to join Joey Technology. Of late, though, I've heard you're having a tough time there. Is it true?"

Flynn remained silent. Under the dim light, the corners of his mouth turned up slightly, seemingly uninterested in the talk. Instead, he took out a cigarette and inhaled deeply after lighting it.
