As I continued to stand between the hunter and his target, Eric yelled, "Move.

"You can't hurt him, I promise! I said it forcefully, getting ready for his assault. "I love you, Eric, but I can't allow you to kill him."

I'll make you move if you won't! I felt something moist grip my arm, and Eric exploded. I turned to see Daniel's blood-spattered hand.

Daniel said, "Sarah, just go," but I remained rooted to the spot between them. "For the kids only, please!"
