Exams had just ended, and the five of us—Rex, Lily, Alex, Jude, and I—were gathered on the school rooftop taking a much-needed breather after the exhausting exam period. The sun bathed us in warmth, and a fresh breeze danced around us, making the moment feel almost perfect.

"I can't believe we are finally done with exams!" I exclaimed, feeling a wave of relief wash over me as I stretched my arms out.

"Right? It feels like we have been studying forever," Lily replied, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "What a relief to have a break before the next session!"

"Yeah," I agreed. "So much has happened this semester."
