The airport was designed in such a way that privet aircrafts were stored and boarded from a different location that the rest.. it was of to the side.. but considerably more luxurious.. Not like in the main building with first class.. but rather a classic chique look, not overly dramatic… but rather small and delegate… there were three planes on in the privet area… two Gulfstream G100, a luxurious small jet, that could fit around seven people..
Those types of planes were well fit for privet airfields as they could take of from small stripes, while still overing great comfort… but in comparison to the Jet that Dante would be flying, they lacked size… and while size didn't mean everything… it did mean more costly to operate.
When he arrived, Dante could see some peculiar looking people talking to the crew of his rented aircraft..
They were wearing a plane robe adorned with some jewellery that seemed to be extremely expensive.
Getting out of the cab, caused him to hear them arguing..
"Do you know who I am?" A kid, no older than eighteen seemed to want to get on the plane that Dante had rented..
"Sir. We simply can't.. we have already been paid, so it would mean a lawsuit if we accept your proposal…" one of the pilots tried reasoning with the kid..
"We will pay double." The person standing beside the kid, looked to be somewhat older.. he didn't seem like the dad, but more like a brother or friend..
"Sir…" The pilot seemed to want to reject… they couldn't even change it if they wanted to… only a higher up could change it on the fly..
"Triple." The kid interjected..
Dante had grabbed his bags.. and had already begun moving into the direction of the plane.. the driver had tried to help, but Dante wasn't to keen on handing such valuables to someone else…
"We simply can not sir..." Dante was seen by the two pilots and stewardess, who all looked away from the trio standing before them…
The kid seem to get somewhat angry at the pilots, because he was rejected and even somewhat dismissed…
Before he could say anything, Dante had already appeared before him, shaking the hands of the pilots with his left hand... his right lacked the synthetic material to feel organic, so shaking their hands with his right would feel as if they were touching metallic bones..
"Sorry for the inconvenience. I have recently injured my right arm in a operation gone wrong.."
"Nothing to worry about, sir Ripper.. we are pleased to have you on this flight.."
The trio that stood behind Dante whispered to each other.. but non of them seemed to know the last name Ripper..
"Hey.. old man.. how much for me to take this plane… I will even lent you mine in exchange.." the rich kid seemed to see the opportunity to get what he wanted at last… if he couldn't get the pilots to agree because of some lawsuit then he could simply convince the passenger..
"Ohh.. no.. I specifically requested this plane because of how far it can fly.. your privet jet is a smaller model and thus has a smaller range… if we were to trade it would mean my sixteen hour flight becoming a… say twenty hour flight, plus having to get a new pilot to fly halfway, or otherwise having to make a stop to let him rest.."
"I don't care.. I can just call my father and he will deal with it.."
"Who is your father?"
"My father is Aali Abadi. Owner of TAO.." Dante searched the name with the company, discovering his connections to his government and other international organisations, mostly connected through a small organisation of survivalist..
"Mhh.." Dante couldn't help, but be somewhat surprised by the influence he had gotten through bribing and donating, mostly trough the organisation they had formed..
From what he could gather Aali Abadi wasn't even a top member.. as the group comprised of 5 top members with the founder forming the counsel and under them being big donators… the total member count couldn't be found but it seemed to be around forty members.. but that wasn't the interesting part..
The group was quite secretive, but doing some quick digging refiled some of the council members.. one of those being Antonio Calabresi.. the secretive billionaire that he had operated on..
"What.. do you not know him, he is one of the richest people in the world…" The child of 'one of the richest people in the world' seemed to grow more annoyed as time past..
"Ahh.. I know.."
Dante picked up his luggage after being finished with researching the dad.
"You will accept my offer then?" A small smile had grown.. as if his dads accomplishments were his own..
"No… now lets get a move on shall we?" Dante had turned to the flight crew, ushering them to begin procedures for take off..
"Of course sir.. right this way.." he was lead to the plane by the stewardess whilst the two pilots also entered to get everything ready..
"You will regret this! I swear.." he was stopped by the older boy in his friend group, being taken away to not cause any further problems..
"Don't worry.. you can get revenge later.." Dante could still hear them as they walked away, not bothering to care about some silly grievances the boy had..
Getting on the plane was simple, the door had already opened and he was free to walk in without obstruction.. the plane that he would be flying in was modified for commercial use, for example having a small bar with snacks and other amenities inside a bathroom at the back of the plane… the plane didn't feature a bed, but did have chairs that could go back all the way…
The stewardess showed him around, giving some details on the manufacture and design that was implemented by the company.. and how they even sold aircraft if he was interested…
While owning a aircraft did seem enticing, it wasn't practical.. for him at least.. the only time he would need it was when traveling.. and how often did he bring a body back with him that couldn't go through airport security..
The only reason to own a privet jet, would be to save money.. that being if the time waisted on waiting for others was more expensive then it was to buy a plane… but Dante didn't have much business outside of his clinic… plus he was more of a car guy…
-
The trip wasn't to exiting.. the view was good and the stewardess was nice.. but that could only go so far as Dante didn't have anything to do.. or rather he couldn't do it on a plane… the only stop they would make was in Spain, just to reveal the plane and prepare for the next international flight..
When they were waiting though, one of the pilots received a call…
"Hello, miss Brown.." Dante didn't pay attention to them.. as he was looking for any black market source of Vibranium..
Getting it legally was the plan, but seeing how well it paired with other materials was something that he needed to do before investing in official ties with Wakanda.. if Vibranium didn't mix well then it would be useless to get a full bodies worth.
"I will go talk to him.. yes.." The pilot hung up the call, but Dante was still engrossed in his thoughts.
'How well would Vibranium mix with cyberpunk style technology..' He knew it mixed well with technology derived from it, but something like cyberware was something different.. as metal and flesh needed to work together intertwined.. from what he could see was that Vibranium worked well on its own.. but Wakanda didn't have anything on a mixture between human and machine, like the cyberpunk world did..
Dante looked up as he heard footsteps approach.. seeing one of the pilots, he smiled..
"Is something the matter?" Dante asked, as the pilot seemed to fidget a bit, clearly nervous about something..
"I am extremely sorry sir.. but our boss just called, saying that we can't continue the flight.." Dante remembered the phone call he had heard, and suspected the kid to have something to do with it..
"Ohh how interesting… did she give a explanation as to why?" He was carouse as to how it happened.. he did suspect Aali Abadi to be connected.. but doubted to the lengths the jet company would go.
"She said a VIP client had requested this specific model… I understand this might be upsetting for you sir.. but there is really nothing we can do.. a full refund will be deposited in the account you used to purchase the flight.." He seemed to ramble on as if he was trying to get it over with as quick as possible.. likely hoping to prevent a argument..
"Can you get your boss on the line please.. I am sure we still have some time until you can depart.." He was planning to talk to their boss first.. if she was unreasonable then it would mean contacting a dear patient of his..
"Of course sir.. let me call her for you.." The pilot grabbed his phone and dialled a number, giving it to Dante as the phone began to connect..
Getting the phone handed to him, Dante raised it up a bit and put it on speaker..
["What is it john.. just call security if the client refuses to leave!"]
"I am sorry to call, but it seems like some mistake has been made.." Some grumbling could be heard on the other side.. but nothing specific to made out of it..
["You must be mister Ripper.. I am terribly sorry sir but a different client has requested the jet you are currently in.."] Her tone had changed, becoming more business-like, ignoring the earlier introduction, as if it never happened..
"Yes.. I just had one small question.. was it Aali Abadi?" the phone was silent for a moment no noise coming out of either of them..
["… sorry.. sir we are not allowed to disclose a clients name.."] Dante smiled.
"Understood.. I do hope you are happy with your choice.." He hung up the phone, even if she didn't say it directly, the shock from hearing his name gave enough information for him..
Giving back the phone to John, Dante went to grab his bags..
"Like I said sir, we are terribly sorry…" The pilot volowed him to the back, but was somewhat pushed aside as Dante moved through.
"Its not like its your fault… I am more sorry for wasting your time.." He had grabbed his bags and was making his way to the exit, being strangely calm..
Getting of the plane left him with only his luggage on a somewhat desolate place, where the privet jet had been getting fuel.. there was no natural shadow to be seen anywhere near them.. to any outsider it would seem like extreme conditions as the blazing Spanish heat could be seen around them..
Soon the plane would leave him alone on the airport.. so his immediate need was to get a new one to take him to New York.. there was one privet jet on the airport he currently was.. but it was somewhat over the top..
The jet in question was the Bombardier Global 6000 a ultra long ranged heavy Jet.. a step up from the jet he originally had… the price was around the same for the heavy jet, but halve the distance..
Getting it rented meant getting a crew together, the soonest that that could happened was within a two hours.. as two pilots and a stewardess were needed to operate it..
He agreed to and digitally signed for confirmation.. with a quick call he was even able to enter the plane before the pilots would arrive..
Now that he was seated, he could rest or get some work done as no one was there, but instead he called Antonio Calabresi.. before doing anything to Aali and his billion dollar business… was he petty for taking billions away because he was inconvenienced... yes… did it matter to him.. no.
