章 3: [Chapter 3: The Dragon Saves The Day.]

[First-person point of view]
~Yawn~
Moving my claw to block the strange sun's light, I slowly get up and survey my surroundings.
I've been in this world for a few days now, and it still feels weird to be a dragon, but I'll get used to it, I guess.
Grabbing the remains of a demon cow I cooked last night, I put it in my mouth and chew slowly to savor the lingering taste from last night.
The reason for eating so slowly is that I hate this demon cow, and consequently, all demon cows.
It turns out they have a kind of ability that allows them to attack people in their dreams, and one day while I was peacefully sleeping, I felt my dream abruptly change.
I woke up quickly, but when I did, I saw a dark cow head with blood-red eyes and a dark aura staring at me.
I screamed like a girl, or so I thought, but it actually came out as a sharp roar.
I felt so angry and embarrassed that I slowly burned thirty demon cows I found around, doing it in front of their own kind.
I couldn't allow that horrible species to live.
Thanks to that, I gained 1000 system points since each one had a medium power (as classified by the system), and the only reason they were in the outer area was that their abilities only worked when people were asleep, and they weren't physically strong.
Speaking of points, I currently have 10000 points after hunting quite a bit these days.
I didn't know why, but every time I killed one of these magical beasts, I felt great pleasure seeing their blood on my claws.
Well, I did know.
It was because I was a dragon, and furthermore, a hatchling. According to the system, they are quite susceptible to mood swings, more than an adult dragon, but no more proud.
People fear adults more because they are stronger and because, despite being able to endure more insults than hatchlings, when they get angry, entire countries or factions suffer depending on the dragon's strength.
Many of them give in to killing and are labeled as Evil Dragons.
Setting that aside, I finished my demon cow leg and threw the bone remnants into the improvised garbage can in the corner.
'Arrghhh'
Stretching, some bones cracked as I moved slowly towards the exit of my cave, which was very dark, as if the stone had been burned.
Today, we'll try to train the skill [Dissect], as according to the system, it manipulated a certain level of the death element by causing bleeding, and I could obtain a good skill from it.
[Dissect Lvl 7]
The [Kamehameha] was level 2, and that was after using it many times, as it excited me. And yet, it increased very slowly.
It was normal, after all, it's a [Rare Skill], but damn, I didn't expect to see what happened when it evolved.
Setting that aside, I focused on spamming [Dissect] and continuously tore at a metal rock I took from the floor of my cave.
While doing this, I heard a somewhat weak and pitiful howl, as if it were in pain.
I heard it because I'm constantly manipulating the wind to make noises reach my ears more easily; after all, one has to be careful here.
Putting aside my thoughts, I flew towards the direction of the howl while manipulating the wind to reduce the sound my wings made.
[Third-person point of view]
Somewhere in the Outer Area of the Family Forest, a peculiar scene unfolded.
A small wolf pup was crawling slowly towards a tree, howling at a strange creature chasing it.
This was a strange dark bull, with 4 devilish horns growing from its head, four blood-red eyes, and two tails ending in points.
This was a mutant or variant of the Demon Bull race, occurring when a Demon Cow mated with a Demon Bull.
It's quite unusual to see this as Bulls are in the Inner Area and Cows in the Outer. The result was this thing with great power over Dream Magic and a robust physique, one could say it's the ultimate specimen of Cows and Bulls.
It lost the weakness of the weak physique of Cows and the inability to perform Magic from Bulls.
It was a Middle-Class being that could easily ascend to the Upper Class; as for why it was here, who knew.
While the sadistic Bull slowly approached the small wolf, a red dragon about 2 meters long was flying slowly around them, observing the situation closely.
This was our protagonist, the unnamed Red Dragon Hatchling watching the situation.
He was very angry, too much. This reminded him of when he rescued his dog, Rocky, and the Bull looked too much like his worst enemies, the Demon Cows.
This only fueled his growing anger and hatred, and he couldn't wait to dive in and crush that beast.
But the system showed him its status.

[Abilities: [Dream Magic LvL 4], [Frenzy LvL 2]
He recently found out he was in DxD, and the power classification changed to fit the world.
Currently, he was at the Peak of the Lower Class, not that he lacked Skills and Magical Reserves; damn, he thought he had a High-Class reserve.
But his lack of combat experience put him in that classification, and this was a good opportunity to acquire more.
Seeing the Bull about to attack, the dragon propelled himself with the wind as much as he could, and his claws lit up with a dark light.
The Bull felt a sense of danger, instinctively turned around, and lowered its head to counter the attack with its horns.
With the first cut, it lowered its head a bit, with the second even more, and so on until the tenth, ending up on the ground, raising a dust cloud.
(Using [Dissect] which does 10 quick attacks)
Quickly, the dragon lifted the wolf with the wind and placed it behind a large tree a bit far away, watching as the dust cloud slowly dispersed.
Gradually, a silhouette standing and looking in the dragon's direction with two glowing red eyes became visible.
The Demon Bull was using its [Frenzy] ability, enhancing all its stats by 100% at the cost of its life.
With incredible speed, the bull headed towards the dragon and quickly closed the distance. The dragon erected a quick wall of fire and wrapped its claws in darkness again to launch its skill.
The bull quickly passed through the fire without apparent damage and collided with the dragon.
With sparks flying, claw and horn collided, creating a loud sound that spread for miles.
The bull lifted its head up, deflecting the last strike, and quickly struck the dragon's chest, making the latter fly a few meters.
The bull didn't give him time to react and began repeatedly charging at the dragon.
[First-person point of view]
This bull is quite strong, I'll give it that.
But I barely feel its attacks. If we were to classify my physique, it would be in the High Class. The only reason I'm not in it, as the system said, is a lack of achievements, feats, and experience.
But it's starting to annoy me.
Time to get serious.
With a flick of my tail, I push the bull a few meters, and I stand up on all fours.
It looks at me.
I look at it.
Then we both charge and clash our heads, with a movement of my right hand, I push it down, with the left claw surrounded by fire, I insert it into one of its eyes.
It howls in pain.
With a strike of the tip of my tail, I pierce its stomach a bit. With my weight, I throw it to the ground and quickly use [Dissect].
The bull roars and pushes me quite forcefully in the chest, and taking advantage of this, it backs away a bit.
I can see a subtle gleam in its eyes before its size expands a few meters, its horns rise, and its eyes shine even brighter.
It was holding back.
Looking at it angrily as it charges at me while bleeding, a dark knife that seems to be about to break appears in my mouth.
Looking into its eyes, I prepare, and fire, darkness, and wind envelop the knife.
Colliding, I felt as I let go of the knife a bit, and I quickly hit it on the side with my claw, only to notice it was tougher than before.
It snorts and sends me flying a few meters.
Looking at the purple sky, I see various treetops.
Using my magic, a square of dark fire surrounds me and protects me.
Then, preparing, a fire armor surrounds me, and the fire from my claws turns dark.
Absorbing the entire fire cube, my armor increases in size and temperature, and with even more wind.
Levitating, I go at full speed and hit it with my right claw on its head, making two horns fall.
Quickly, I spit a breath of fire, and it howls in pain when I burn its eyes.
I should have done that.
'Will that work?'
Quickly, I immobilize it to the ground again and plunge my claws into its stomach.
This time, they pierce through its defense like butter.
It tries to defend itself, but I hit it with my head several times until it loses some strength.
Then, with my front claws, I press its front legs, and I open my mouth.
A golden light comes out of my mouth and begins to illuminate the entire area.
The bull struggles a lot when it feels the light element in the air.
Then a great light laser shoots out of my mouth and shatters the bull's head.
I wanted it to suffer slowly.

How did you find the chapter, folks? And the fight scene? I don't feel like I did well, but I guess quality improves much more over time.
Now, I know some people will be somewhat confused about why the MC struggles against a Middle-Class when having a reserve and a High-Class body.
This will be explained over time, but rest assured that I'm not one to nerf the MC for the sake of the plot.
Tomorrow, I'll upload a new chapter and also some extras to explain some things.
